Nothing unites our political class like the threat of ending our never-ending war
So were withdrawing troops from the Middle East.
GOOD!
Whats the War on Terror death count by now, a half-million? How much have we spent, $5 trillion? Five-and-a-half?
Unless Donald Trump decides to reverse his decision to begin withdrawals from Syria and Afghanistan, cable news for the next few weeks is going to be one long Scanners marathon of exploding heads.
Todays decision would cheer Moscow, ISIS, and Iran! yelped Nicole Wallace, former George W. Bush communications director.
Maybe Trump will bring Republicans and Democrats together, said Bill Kristol, on MSNBC, that liberal channel that somehow seems to be populated round the clock by ex-neocons and Pentagon dropouts.

Anybody got a clue why these people are going nut burgers?
Liberals because they hate trump. He could want amnesty for all illegals and put all conservatives in jail and they’d oppose him.
Right wing war mongers will oppose dismantling their cash cow.
Okay, let’s not test that out, just sayin ....
>>Whats the War on Terror death count by now, a half-million?
A&&holes on the Left stopped counting once Barack Golden Child God Fascist won.
What difference does it make now?
the President threatens the money flow.
"But we dont exactly have a plan for staying in the Middle East, either, beyond installing a permanent garrison in a dozen countries, spending assloads of money and making ourselves permanently despised in the region as civilian deaths pile up through drone-bombings and other surgical actions."
They got that right, but
"Trump is a madman, a far-right extremist and an embarrassment, but thats not why most people in Washington hate him. Its his foreign-policy attitudes, particularly toward NATO, that have always most offended DC burghers."
the above is typical hyperbolic bull chit from the democrat/globalist crowd. Trump is not a madman, extremist, or embarrassment and the reason the "in crowd" hate him isn't because of NATO, it's because they know damn well he's a threat to the existence of and their control of the 'permanent government'.
It's worth the small amount of time it takes to read the entire article because it's obviously tough for Rolling Stone to have to agree with Trump on things they've preached for decades while at the same time making sure they stay well inside the democrat camp by constantly slandering Trump with total BS and selected media boilerplate trash.

Maybe Trump will agree to keep troops in Syria in exchange for Border Wall funding?
Why should he or anyone else believe anything the democrat leadership promises in a deal?
Troops in Syria for the wall funding would end up just like democrats promising three dollars in cuts for every one dollar in new taxes which led to the Bush "read my lips, no new taxes" promise being broken.
So Trump should be more like Daddy Bush?
How do you not call out someone who has reached such deep depths of hypocrisy and let irrational, unfounded hatred block out their core beliefs?
Thats called an idealogue, someone that has no convictions or moral compass. In essence the person is an empty coward not willing to actually take a stance and stick with it. Their minds will change with the prevailing winds as their hatred for an individual boils over their irrational belief system becomes more hostile. In short, the person is dangerous and crazy as a loon and Id stay away.

Sorry for the triple posting folks. I thought my tablet had stalled.
Does that answer your question?
There is an alternative theory for the announced withdrawal...
You announce the withdrawal, and let ISIS regroup/consolidate.
I would argue that they have spread themselves out to avoid concentrations that can be attacked with maximum damage. and eschewed asserting any level of centralization.
Once they have regrouped, you go back in and pound them down for the final victory.
The key thing with Trump is that nothing is, as it seems, on the surface. There is always an unspoken agenda that is not revealed until some time after.
just my 2 cents.
If daesh is truly defeated in Syria so that it is safe to leave, there is no reason we can’t bomb the capital on the way out.
The Saudis are moving in where we are moving out. Their defense spending is greater than France or the UK, the top defense spenders in NATO. Let the Saudis bomb ISIS if they regroup.
