Honestly I think the wall will be funded either way.
Senate votes the way they should, we get it. Senate shuts the government down, the military will build the wall and take the budget from that.
Simple, no?
Noting that Sen. McConnell seems to be ignoring that the Founding States encouraged simple majority votes in Senate by not only guaranteeing one vote per senator, but also designating vice president as tie breaker, please consider the following.
"Clause 1: The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each State, chosen by the Legislature thereof, (See Note 3) for six Years; and each Senator shall have one Vote [emphasis added].
"Clause 4: The Vice President of the United States shall be President of the Senate, but shall have no Vote, unless they be equally divided [emphasis added]."
By promoting Senate compliance with constitutional simple majority Senate vote, Trump is probably also trying to make patriots more aware of anti-Trump senators for 2020 campaign purposes.
Also, as with other voter-sensitive legislation, and taking advantage of forgetful voters, more vulnerable two year term limit House members probably pass a voter-popular bill that they would otherwise kill, knowing that more job secure, six year term senators will kill bill for them using Constituton-ignoring 60 supermajority vote.
If such is the case, what a scam!
