I saw this report yesterday. In fairness Thune is in favor of allocating the money for the wall. He’s just not in favor of playing budget games of shuffling money around from other programs, like defense, to pay for it.

Hes just not in favor of playing budget games of shuffling money around from other programs, like defense, to pay for it. Given the current makeup of the House starting in January, it means it can't happen under his rules. Typical politician speaking out both ends simultaneously.
