the $867 billion farm bill I was sure that was a typo. Nope. Almost a trillion dollars for this. We spend about $700B for defense.
The Constitution says that we should defend the country, so a Defense budget is necessary. But a Farm Bill? I'm not sure the federal government should spend a penny on that stuff. States can, if they want, but why do the Feds manipulate the farm sector?

How much goes to welfare for illegals and how much to produce/waste producing ethanol for fuel? We are the largest producer of petroleum so we do not need alcohol.
