That’s awful. When you say he took away your local clinics and hospital, do you mean the clinics were shut, or that you had to go farther for care? My family has health insurance through my union that was unaffected by the ACA so I am ignorant, as I am realizing more and more, about much of what you are speaking of. If you are forced to see doctors you don’t think are as good as the ones you saw before, that’s terrible. I hope more people like me hear the truth of what you’ve been through.

Hasn’t the SCOTUS already ruled to the contrary?

“People around here tend to exaggerate and assume the worst about...”

...EVERYTHING!

The thought of relying on this fickle bunch really ups the Pucker Factor of any potential CW.

Yep, not a tax anymore. Take that, Justice John "Hinky Adoptions" Roberts.

“It’s moot. Dems control the House and GOP big donors love socialized medicine.”

it’s hardly moot if SCOTUS ultimately agrees with the Texas court and obamacare is found unconstitutional ... the House can’t do squat by itself as long as the Senate is firmly in the hands of the GOP and Trump is President ...

Well yeah if you want to apply logic and rule of law. But Roberts didn’t use either of those last time.

I don’t think he would.
The GOP Senate should VETO it to protect him from the political fall out. But they won’t. They want to hurt him.
If he vetoes it, the RINOs will join with the Dems to override him.

That’s easy. General welfare. The same clause they use for damn near every other social program and giveaway.

There are plenty of writings by Founding Fathers, those who wrote and supported the Constitution and its ratification - as well as early politicians where the ‘General Welfare’ clause is explained as not a grant to give away things/money, etc....but the very fact that a structured LIMITED GOVERNMENT provides the foundation of a people and a country that will benefit everyone.

Certainly that ‘general welfare’ clause has been abused to the point that its use destroys most of the rest of the Constitution. If the general welfare clause were to mean what the leftists thinks it means - the Bill of Rights would never have INCLUDED THE 9th and 10th Amendments.

Lovin it!

Nancy and the dims thought they were going to impeach VSGPOTUS and rummage through his taxes.

Now, they have to find a replacement for 0bama care.
Now, they have to fund the Government.
Now, they have to stop the CR’s and present a budget. They never passed a budget since the Bush Presidency.

Kinda happy the GOP is not driving the Congress to fix all of 0bama’s crap

Lovin it!

I agree ... as long as we have the Senate and they're not afraid to vote, we can keep getting judges on the bench. The House of Representatives is a swamp ... let the Dimmos try to keep their promises now.

The best way to access healthcare in the USA? You go to a doctor, tell him what service you need, and agree upon a price. Pay the doctor what you owe him.

That is the way it should be in the USA. The medical system works like that in Singapore. Unfortunately, medical service pricing in the US is opaque with many layers of pricing for different insurance companies, govt plans and self-payers. You can’t, but should be able to compare prices for medical tests performed by different hospitals and clinics on the Internet.

Justices are neither "liberal" or "conservative". They take a POV of how loose they interpret conditional law or circumstances.

In the modern age of Democrat appointments, they are batting 1.000% concerning a promoting a loose and will interpretation, while Republicans are averaging below the Mendoza Line of continuing to make up Bull Feces to promote and adhere to other crap from the past.

Scalia, Thomas, and Rehnquist are "it". Alito shows promise, however, sides with cases involving LEO too heavily on the government's side. Gorsuch shows a lot of promise and may emulate Scalia.

The point is that SC appointments should be perfect, just like how the Democrats are able to pass their "perfect" judges in this modern age. Anything short of perfection is failure.

Thus, Roberts is a failure because he supports stare decisis (Promoting bad opinions/precedence of the past) as well as Kavanaugh (If he means what he says).

Nineteen Republican AGs filed the suit. The GOP owns healthcare now.

Think Roberts would reverse his vote since TRUMP got rid of the Individual Mandate?

“Congress did NOT repeal the “tax,” they reduced it to zero.”

The penalty “tax” is fully repealed effective January 1 2019.
