I always thought “report this post” type buttons should delete your account.
It’ll be interesting to see if twitter hits them up for patent violations.
Maybe the defense would be that the system is improved because it doesn’t censor but censorship would not be part of twitter patents/copyrights.

Exactly, I’ve seen it happen a couple of times- unfortunately- the problem is that when there aren’t any clear ground rules, people will always abuse the ‘freedom’ they are given and ruin it for everyone- Some peopel just aren’t happy unless they are making other people’s lives miserable sadly-

but better yet, I’d love to see a ‘conservative only’ twitter-like site- I mean why not? Twitter is driving conservatives away by censoring them- so why not have a site that censors liberals in return? This would drive the left absolutely mental- Well, you know what i mean- more mental-

There should be an opportunity for third parties to block content for the voluntary use of those who want it.Think of it this way: FR is a conservative and (mostly) family friendly site because of JimRob and his Moderators. Suppose that FR’s mods went to work providing censorship of this new “Twitter” as a paid subscription service. You join the platform, and you pay mods whom you elect to trust to make it congenial to the FR community. And maybe there would be a way to subscribe to two such services - and be able to see anything that either one would allow to pass.
This isn’t necessarily a call for FR to undertake such a project, only an illustrative example. But if someone(s) did do this, it would allow the platform itself to be neutral without necessarily falling victim to the phenomenon you decry.
And maybe it could be done via competing wikis . . .
well the point is that your scenario is introducing censorship- moderation to keep it ‘family friendly’- while sites like he article mention are touting non censorship, non-moderation- so i believe they will turn into Jew-Hating, Christian-hating site in a short period of time
There’s no ‘happy medium’- either the site will censor, or moderate posts- or they won’t- those that don’t will turn into hate-fest sites very quickly=-
