Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer warned Tuesday in front of the White House that there will be a government shutdown if President Donald Trump refuses to budge from his demand for $5 billion of wall funding. He spoke after the tense meeting with President Trump.
The bottom line is simple. The President made clear that he wants a shutdown. His position, if he sticks to his position for a $5 billion wall, he will get no wall and he will get a shutdown. The bottom line is very, very simple. That is, we want border security. We offered him border security. But Americans know that the wall, not paid for by Mexico anymore, is not the way to border security.
Schumer insisted that Democrats "have offered" border security funding and warned of what he and Pelosi have termed a "Trump shutdown."
"This Trump shutdown, this temper tantrum that he seems to throw, will not get him his wall and will hurt a lot of people," Schumer said.

63 million voted for Trump. If each of these voters gave $80, there’s your $5 Billion right there.
Given how much the two of them didn’t want the camera’s in the room while they were talking to the President, I think it’s pretty evident that they were set up. Now the whole world knows what they’re all about. I know it’s old news, but pretty much every poll conducted on immigration, if direct questions are asked, show that everyone, across the board wants immigration curtailed and more border security. Even the self identified Dem’s want it. Only people that really want it are the UNIPARTY members, one for the cheap labor, the other for the votes.
I think they got played. You have Pelosi saying that we shouldn’t debate in front of the cameras. I think our forefathers would be tying the nooses right about now. They wanted transparency, not secret deals made in the backroom.
The President said he would take responsibility. The Dem’s might get a little more than they bargained for if that happens. The man has the bully pulpit. He will hammer them incessantly over this, as more and more stories are made public about how illegals are effecting peoples lives.
Don’t Republicans have a majority in both branches of Congress?
Why should Schumer even being talking about a shutdown?
Put the wall funding in the bill.
Vote on the bill.

I would be proud to hear liberals sobbing crocodile tears over a ‘Trump Shutdown’.
Maybe President Trump to respond today with appointment of a team to deal with the ‘Schumer Shutdown’. Oh, and start a daily drip of unredacted files dealing with Benghazi, Uranium 1, FISA court abuse, spying on US citizens, etc. Should be fun.
PDJT needs to get out in front of this thing. Give a National Address on TV like Reagan use to do.
The Border Patrol needs more manpower too.
The new people can be in service in a month.
The wall will take several years to get built.

Take away all public funding for refugee and resettlement agencies. Let them beg for private donations, like other charities do.
End the refugee program, completely. The people need help, then we can help them find a safe zone, closer to home, so when things settle down they can move back. Not come here and win the “I had a baby citizen in an American hospital lottery and now me and my family are her for life”.
EVerify mandatory.
Take away the welfare bennies.
And if he could get one more reliable Constitutionalist/Conservative on SCOTUS he can, once and for all, challenge this eff’d up interpretation of Birthright Citizenship and end that scam forever.
God willing, there’s a sealed indictment out there on Schmucky and Piglosi.
Every meeting w/'rats should be televised, in fact Trump should take it to Pay for View. That revenue would generate enough for the wall!

Trump should have told her 1.5B is “crumbs” and he wants it all and he wants it now.

The Wall was the centerpiece of Trump’s successful campaign.
If he finishes his term without building the Wall and without repealing O-care, he’s failed at keeping his two central promises. He’s made a big deal out of keeping promises...
