Maria Butina, a Russian national and former American University student accused of acting as an undeclared Kremlin spy, reached a plea deal with prosecutors Monday months after initially pleading not guilty to illegally acting as a foreign agent.
Butina, who stands accused of infiltrating Republican political circles to advance Russian interests during the 2016 presidential campaign, has maintained her innocence since she was arrested in July. Her attorneys have filed a request for a “change of plea” hearing for as soon as Tuesday.

Sick. That kid simply got involved in her eyeballs in the second amendment and NRA. She attended prayer breakfasts. All out in the open. Her goal was to have a second amendment codified into Russian law.
She spoke to second amendment supporting US government types when she had a chance in order to learn all she could.
This naturally means she also spoke to Russian government people...you know, the ones who could create that law there.
But unfortunately for her right now, this nice girl was arrested as a spy to help our criminal FBI “prove” that Russian spies are everywhere.
Sick and shameful. Meanwhile every variety of camel kockey and chinaman runs through our country bribing everything they can find, and engaged in constant TRUE espionage. The Pakistani brothers are an example.
Bottom line, she is a political prisoner who was arrested to support the narrative of the US coup.
They also obtained and released her private emails to trash her relationship to her boyfriend. Our government is pure trash at this point.
So Butina actually asked Trump a question at a Town Hall meeting?

Oh, also just wait. This will let the coup lead DOJ to try to argue that the NRA is rife with Russian spies. They will use this to discredit the NRA as a foreign dominated movement so we can be bankrupted and possibly prosecuted.

Unfortunately true. This sort of scummy behavior has unfortunately been the norm among the LEO community for a long while. The allure of power corrupts the already bent individual profoundly. Mow it has metastasized into a national crisis.
There was a smoking hot Russian spy chick a few years ago. A redhead. The NY Post had her on the front page for a week straight. I think Obama traded her for an ugly old American dude spy. Guy had no idea how to negotiate.

I would bet the ranch that right now there are dozens - maybe hundreds - of unregistered Chinese, Iranians, and Saudis acting as foreign agents in the same sense as Butina, or even more aggressively: buying property and businesses, infiltrating campus organizations, lobbying organizations, and public institutions. And no one gives a damn.

She's been in jail for five months. That only means they offered her a deal too good to pass up.
"Plead guilty to the crimes that we've manufactured out of thin air specifically for what we've accused you of doing and we'll sentence you to time served and deport you back to Russia. Take it to trial and face decades in prison."
Yes indeed, However this is all on the Trump Administration’s FBI for arresting her and the Trump Administration Department of Justice under Interim Attorney General Matthew Whitaker for forcing her into a plea bargain.
