Well, not me.
None of my immediate or extended family has ever been in jail or prison.

Well, a friend of mine named Steve Goodman wrote that song
And he told me it was the perfect country & western song
I wrote him back a letter and I told him it was not the perfect country & western song
Because he hadn’t said anything at all about mama
Or trains, or trucks, or prison, or getting’ drunk
Well, he sat down and wrote another verse to the song and he sent it to me
And after reading it I realized that my friend had written the perfect country & western song
And I felt obliged to include it on this album:

In GA you get 2A back around 5 yrs after sentence ends. Its a lie that you lose 2A for life.
“Justice Reform” is a fake word for “no consequences for unlawful action.”
Only half? The laws are so numerous, onerous, and unending, anyone who lives a full life never having been in jail either didn’t have much of a life or was in the business of inflicting the state upon the rest of us.
I think any normal Young Man
In a free society is going
to come in contact with the Law.
Add a hot Vehicle,
Throw in some Sweet chicks and
Stir in a few intoxicating items
And magically,,,
Your Busted!
Red Lights,
Sirens and
the smell of Burning Rubber
then
Your busting thru
a Roadblock !
Etc,Etc,Etc.
4 months and 20 days later
You leave the county jail.
I’m lucky I didn’t do “Prison.”
I’m lucky I didn’t get Injured
Or Shot.
Never convicted of anything but
Misdemeanors and my wild days
Stopped 40 yrs ago.
I got a speeding
Ticket 10 years ago.
I guess I got Scared Straight.

On the old Truth or Consequences TV program they bet a guy he couldn’t leave the theater, walk across the street, smoke a cigarette, and return to the theater without breaking the law.
He lost.
They gave him an unopened pack of cigarettes, and he opened the pack like we did back then, tearing the foil on one end of the pack to get out a cigarette. Thing is it was illegal back then to open a pack of cigarettes without breaking or tearing the federal tax stamp.
