All day long Emmanuel Macron skulked behind the majestic walls of his presidential palace while outside, his city – and his country – once again erupted in fury. Not only was the Elysee Palace guarded by hundreds of riot police but also armoured cars bearing machine guns and grenade launchers. Excessive perhaps, but few who spent any time in Paris yesterday would doubt that but for this formidable ring of steel, the mob would have surely tried to storm inside. It was a day of reckoning, a day of insurrection. And this time the revolutionary spirit was catching. There were also disturbances in Marseilles, France’s second city, and in Brussels.

What they don’t realize is that they are not safe either. Not really.
And they want to afford themselves of privileges they are taking themselves and denying others, like armed security.
He also announced he is ready to give them some tax breaks - seems like he gave up on waiting for them to kiss his ring and will kiss their asses while he looks for a way to nullify those who have had enough....
Eventually, he will be found in a “spider hole” like Saddam Hussein...
Next up - the immigrant community. As soon as the gas and other tax breaks take effect, the welfare recipients will express their displeasure. Could be heading for an internal battle between those who are fed up with taxes taking so much of what they earn and those who want more and more services in return simply for existing. Maybe the EU “army” will ride to the rescue.
