C'mon...gimme a break.If she had gone to trial and I was a juror I'd want to hear something...something convincing...about grave and immediate danger."He abused me for years" wouldn't be enough for a not guilty vote from me on a manslaughter charge even if I believed those claims.
If the charge against her was 1st Degree Murder and I was inclined to believe her claims of long term abuse I *would* vote not guilty because that abuse would constitute a "provocation" in my mind,thus making her act less grievous that "Murder One"IOW,she would have been over charged by the prosecutor/Grand Jury.
