You seem to have studied his background a lot more than I have. My estimate of him is solely based on his being a Bushie; however, so was Clarence Thomas. I’m willing to be enlightened.

I just did a quick review of his Wikipedia page.

What I found interesting was that he began serving as the U.S. Attorney General in an acting capacity in August 1991 when he was only 41 years old, and he has been working in the private sector for the last 25 years after he left the AG post when Clinton was inaugurated in January 1993. It's remarkable that someone would still be considered a viable candidate for such a high-profile post 25 years after he last served in it.

Is he a friend of Mueller’s? Just thought I would ask.

Donald Rumsfeld, the youngest and oldest Secretary of Defense - 1975 to 1977 under Gerald Ford, and again from 2001 to 2006 under George W. Bush.

It seems like the GWB administration was filled with retreads. Colin Powell and Dick Cheney are two others who immediately come to mind. It’s almost like Bush needed an army of half-bright adults to run his administration for him.

OK, I’ll ask the question...

Who in your obviously well read opinion would be “Acceptable” to you?

The Ball is in your court as well as the rest of the naysayers who seem to feel that Trump is being steered

Let’s hear it...

My problem is we've had two AGs, Ashcroft and Sessions, who looked great and recused themselves at the crucial times, giving their Assistant AGs the power to appoint a special counsel, each with horrible results. Given that, I really want to see somebody appointed who won't get rolled and I'm massively pessimistic.

William Barr as an asst. AG under HW Bush-— was, according to the Air Force special ops pilot who was there, and worked with the drug running/cash drops/guns to Nicaragua contras and thereafter ops. They all met in a transition meeting at Mena, AR, where then govenor Clinton was also present. This was during the days post Barry Seals (the DOJ let the colombians kill him in Baton Rouge— illegal aliens with full auto machine guns, see Barry Seals).

Clinton being the nose powder monkey he was- was very interested in continuing the coke/cash shipments— dropped on his buddy’s farm from the air— and the cash— put in a drop box “deposit” at Stephens’ bank.

The “dynasty” friendship of the Clintons and Bushes.... all converge in the Mena, AR based op to support the Contras (it is debatable whether Casey and Ollie North briefed the VP on it, but not debatable that Bush as pres was trying to roll it up. It definitely was featured, along with taxes and undoing Reagan’s policies, in the one-term HW Bush loss to ... Billy “snort” Clinton. Remember all the anti drug efforts— Blue Thunder boats in Caribbean?).

The Air Force guy was 2nded to see eye aaaaa— and his book is still out there- and very readable. He had authority to buy special low speed bush prop planes (used extensively in Alaska— they can land on 30 feet of beach)— still made in GA. The book is readable, and full of this info.

William Barr IS the Deep State laundry operator— and, dirty. The last gasp of the amazon/Wa Po rumer machine. Barr ain’t getting a position, no freaking way.

Easy confirmation is a dead giveaway.

Please, Mr. Trump, no!

I’d trust Chris Christy-Kreme ahead of this guy.
