On Tuesday, Emerald Robinson, chief White House correspondent for One America News Network (OANN), unleashed a powerful rumor that The Weekly Standard is on its last legs. Sources confirmed to CNN that Editor-in-Chief Stephen Hayes warned staff the future of the paper is uncertain. One of the magazine's key editors, Bill Kristol, has adopted a firmly anti-Trump stance, becoming a well-known #NeverTrump leader.

I don’t know which news would be better; the death of the Weekly Standard or Newsweek. Perhaps the Weekly Standard as Bill Kristol is a pompous twit.

Rumors had been circulating throughout the media class Tuesday about the fate of The Weekly Standard in the wake of the magazine’s dwindling readership and circulation, despite a rebranding effort as the preeminent right-leaning periodical for conservatives opposed to President Donald Trump.
“I don’t expect it to exist after December 14, 2018,” one editor at the magazine told TheDCNF. “There is no budget for it AT ALL.”

I am happy about this however why hasn’t the Times, Post, Chronicle and others closed their doors yet?
Maybe Trump will buy them. Ha ha.
It is my understanding that the Standard is not a stand alone publication/company but is in fact owned.
If the owners don’t sell because they want the standard to die, there can be no bailing

Without Trump there would be no GOP. At the time of the rise of Trump all of us had had it with the traitorous self-dealing sell-out lushes - sure Mr. Lobbyist, we can do that. Can you get us another round.
