I am kind of confused. Who bought Cabelas again? (Kidding). Where I live there is a dicks and a cabelas a couple of hundred yards apart. I went to dicks when shopping for a new carry pistol. Cabelas was packed and dicks never is so I could handle candidate tools. I would NEVER buy anything from Dicks but I will use them as nencessary. Ended up buying from bass pro shop a few miles away to get what I wanted
I stopped going to dicks the day they announced their gun policy. Screw them.

Nope. Bass Pro Shops bought Cabela’s for 4 Billion dollars.

Dick’s is down to competing with REI instead of Bass Pro/Cabela’s, Sportsman Warehouse and Scheels.

I would...and did last week.
I tried on some Columbia snow gear, found the right size, went home...and ordered it from Amazon.
(Audio... You know what they say about BestBuy? It’s Amazon’s showroom floor...)

Cabela’s was bought by Bass Pro Shops, not Dick’s.
Agreed. I would not want to predict Dick’s future. However, I do see store closings nationwide soon after XMAS 2018 and Deer Season 2019.
