I went on an 8 week, 2000 mile long horseback ride on the Pony Express Trail 17 years ago. I prepared for 4 years for that trip, and I was purchasing non-perishable items all during that time. I made lists of what I thought I would need & made those purchases, and stored them. I test packed my tack area in my horse trailer.
