Undocumented immigrants are already driving on New Jersey's roads, so why not give them a chance to get a driver's license so they can insure and register their vehicles? That's the viewpoint of a handful of state legislators who on Tuesday announced they have introduced a bill that would let undocumented immigrants apply for a license. They argue it'll make the state's roadways safer for everybody and support the Garden State economy. "We can't ignore the reality that undocumented immigrants are on the roads now, going to work, driving their children to school and doing the routine activities that all families do," said state Sen. Joseph Vitale, one of the bill's sponsors.

What’s the problem, there aren’t enough Liberal Voters in New Jersey already?
Most New Jerseyans don’t vote because they are apathetic, and the NJ middle class tuned out.
But a large share of the electorate is anti-Trump in NJ.
This is really a ploy to get them on the voter rolls.
So they came here illegally, drive illegally, send their kids to schools illegally and go to a job which is illegal because they don’t have a Social Security number. Sure, give them a drivers license, what’s one more crime???
[Whats wrong with you fucking idiots in NJ?]
Absolutely nothing!
Speaking for myself, I’m biding my time until I can get out of this sh*thole and into Florida, bringing my conservative voting habits where they could actually have an impact.
NJ has been taken over by far-left people from NY and WI, the founders of the far left progressivism.
NJ used to be reliably conservative until the 1990s. Christie Whitman, Newt Gingrich, Tom DeLay, George W. Bush failed to aggressively campaign and put resources in NJ to make NJ a red state.
Christie used up all the NJ GOP’s money, and left the NJ GOP broke.
Christie and Guadagno are gone. Hugin’s $36 mil spent to defeat Menendez only got him 43% of the vote statewide.
Hugin, Ciattarelli, Bramnick and a wealthy, aggressive conservative with the $$$$$ and the gravitas can make NJ a red state. Focus on the ‘burbs. Focus on the ‘burbs.
I see they've abandoned the "living in the shadows" mantra as well as even a minimal attempt to enforce immigration law.
Vitale is up for reelection in 2021.
This was Jim McGreevey’s old seat. Woodbridge, NJ.
Blue collar, working class, suburban, a few Latino areas.

Why would they need one. They drive illegally since they’re here illegally.
I for one don’t appreciate you’re labelling me a “F’ing Idiot” just because I live in NJ. Maybe you should read the site policy on posting decorum. Take your tripe elsewhere.
All politician who push for drivers licenses for illegals should have their citizenship revoked and deported due to heinous sedition.
I live in N Nevada. Out Legislature voted bout 3 years ago to let illegals have driver’s licenses-—for the same reasons broadcast here.
I can tell you first hand, it isn’t working as planned.
My vehicle insurance has gone from about 28% of the premium allocated to Uninsured motorists to over 49% of the premium allocated to uninsured motorists.
I have 2 older vehicles-—not plastic party cars. MY last accident was OCT of 1966. I haven’t had a ticket in over 15 years, and that was for ‘no seat belt’.
My total monthly auto insurance premiums have gone from about $80 a month to over $131.00 a month. When I asked my gent-—he told me that the illegals getting drivers licenses hasn’t helped anything.
The Nazi ‘RATs just making the Motor Voter Fraud Act work.
An idea I could maybe support if they add an English comprehension portion to the test.
Been there, done that. California did this and found the illegals did not register their cars or buy insurance. The fact that Californians have to buy uninsured motorist insurance in a state where it is mandated you must have insurance to drive; says it all.
This is just a ploy by Demonic-rats to pad the voting rolls beyond the graveyard.
