Chief Justice John Roberts rebutted President Donald Trump's recent criticism that the recent ruling against the administration's asylum policy on migrants was issued by an "Obama judge".
“We do not have Obama judges or Trump judges, Bush judges or Clinton judges," Roberts, who originally responded to the Associated Press, said via a statement issued from the Supreme Court's press office. "What we have is an extraordinary group of dedicated judges doing their level best to do equal right to those appearing before them. That independent judiciary is something we should all be thankful for.”
The president responded directly to the comments in a pair of tweets Wednesday afternoon. "Sorry Chief Justice John Roberts, but you do indeed have 'Obama judges,' and they have a much different point of view than the people who are charged with the safety of our country," Trump said.

He knew he’d get no media coverage for this. But it was the honest thing to say.
Roberts is alright with me. He’s a good “Constitutional moderate” IMO.
But he needs to defend the Courts’ honor with deeds, not words.

By replying to Trump, Roberts must now recluse himself when that issue is brought before the SCOTUS
Roberts is the ultimate Obama Judge. He twisted the law and the Constitution to uphold a clearly unconstitutional Obamacare law.
He is not a Constitutional Moderate. Don’t insult the Constitution by putting his name along side it.

He believes the USSC is, and should be the ruling council over all.

That’s a very large category, involving everything from select eliminations to a full-blown counter revolution.

If the recent rulings are “their level best” they are prime candidates for impeachment for incompetence.
As to Roberts, never trust a man with a s**t eating grin.
It is standard for the courts to interpret a law in a way that sees it as constitutional, if they can.
Obamacare was indeed a tax.
And don’t forget voting and influencing our Congress.
I don’t want to be accused of advocating trials and hangings.

How about Bruce Ohr still working there?
How about Sally Yates illegally ordering the DoJ to follow her orders and ignore the President of the United States? Surely Roberts didn’t sit by quietly with Treasonous peeps in departments representing Justice in this Country?

It would be great if the 9th Circuit was indeed an “independent judiciary,” but if it is why.........are so many opposing view (on Border and Safety) cases filed there, and why are a vast number of those cases overturned. Please study the numbers, they are shocking. We need protection and security - these rulings are making our country unsafe! Very dangerous and unwise!”
