Two years and millions of midterm votes too late. At this point it is a stunt, knowing the Dims will kill it in less than two months; during which the demands to Comey et al will be ignored.

The fix is in, too little too late
Even if these things are started, it will drag out until the dems take over the house and exonerate their cohorts.
Most likely the subpoenas will be ignored or extended until January at which time they will be withdrawn.

Comey tweeted Thursday: “Happy Thanksgiving. Got a subpoena from House Republicans. I’m still happy to sit in the light and answer all questions. But I will resist a “closed door” thing because I’ve seen enough of their selective leaking and distortion. Let’s have a hearing and invite everyone to see.”
Comey’s attorney, David Kelley, said: “Mr. Comey embraces and welcomes a hearing open to the public, but the subpoena issued yesterday represents an abuse of process, a divergence from House rules and its presumption of transparency. Accordingly, Mr. Comey will resist in Court this abuse of process.”

I do. When the chips were piled high on the table before the midterms Deep State Trey made his loyalties quite clear. Lame Duck session red meat beltway theater for the GOP base changes nothing now.
He can delay until after the dems control the house then it's over.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) notified colleagues last week that he will subpoena Comey for a closed-door deposition... . . . Of course Comey could ask for a delay for some reason.
