A couple of years ago there was a story here of somebody from Texas who disappeared in Mexico while on a dental trip
Actually it was 6 years ago.....LOL!
Medical tourism is huge down there, but not long ago there was a doctor who had killed a few of his patients, and they keep it really hushed up, and he receives NO PUNISHMENT from his country or whatever board they have (who I’m sure takes bribery). This doc is still advertising on websites for plastic surgery.
Every winter for 6 weeks I look after a friends house who goes away to various world locations.
About 5 years ago he stopped going to Mexico when he found out some Americans he knew of, where kidnapped and held for ransom.
I liked Acapulco, but I noticed the Cruise ships stopped going there.
About a month ago, the entire police Dept. of Acapulco was disarmed by the Federal Govt. and the policemen had to take lie- detector tests and background checks because of the fear that the drug cartels had taken over the Police Dept. - Tom
