WASHINGTON—A federal judge granted an emergency motion to restore the White House press credential of CNN correspondent Jim Acosta—a victory for the network in a closely watched press-freedom case.

The lawsuit could determine whether the government can ban individual reporters from public buildings.

District Judge Timothy Kelly, who was appointed to the bench by President Trump, granted CNN’s request for a restraining order temporarily restoring Mr. Acosta’s press access to the White House while the case proceeds.

Lawyers for Mr. Acosta, the network’s chief White House correspondent, argued that the unusual revocation of a reporter’s press pass by the White House last week necessitated emergency action.

They should just turn and walk out every time someone shouts a question without being called on

This is nuts. So anybody can just get press credentials, go to a WH press briefing, and start yelling questions at the President? Otherwise the WH is violating a person’s first and fifth amendment rights?

I suspect the Judge has blown any chance for a promotional appointment to the SC during the next 6 years.

Yep. Just wait and see what happens with this voter fraud “investigation” in Florida- NOTHING. This government is a joke, it’s completely infested with enemies of this country where Democrats are given free reign to do anything they hell they want. So what’s next, Jim Acosta can now punch an intern? It’s a joke. Trump gets investigated up the wazoo without one single solitary shred of evidence ANY crime was committed, and here we got blatant voter fraud and it’s kabuki theater all over again then it’s brushed under the rug. It seems the only democrats who are ever held responsible, get arrested and go to jail are the ones who embarrass the elitists like Anthony Weiner. He embrassed Her Hellness Hillary so he goes to jail. All the crimes going on and the guy who sends a text goes to jail.

Better yet, everyone, thousands and thousands of people should show up at the briefing room and demand credentials since this judge thinks you can’t deny the press access to a public building.

How is the Whote House a public building. I can’t just walk into the Oval Office and say hi to DJT whenever I want.

Acosta’s First Amendment rights

And that right there is where the Judge violated his oath of office and exposed himself a poltical clown not a Judge.

There is no such right in the 1st Amendment for special treatment because one is a “journalist”.

Screw the liberal ‘elite’ judge... what an idiot. Take this to the Supreme Court. Our President does NOT answer to the commies at CNN.

Exactly. Try to enforce it.

“So Reporters are allowed to just scream and yell at the President? That’s ridiculous.”

The issue is he used physical force against a young woman.

It’s not a freedom of the press issue.

"Postpone daily press briefings entirely..."

Until, of course, another judge comes along to order them reinstated.

No court should have even agreed to hear this ridiculous case. It’s a nuisance lawsuit.

The White House is NOT a public building if you and I cannot just stroll in when we feel like it.

That was my first thought. Has this judge ever considered just walking into this "public building" without an invite?

Since THIS reporter has a Constitutional right to a White House Press Pass, does that mean that ALL REPORTERS now have a right to a White House Press Pass?!?

I mean, doesn’t this ruling say that Trump has a Constitutional REQUIREMENT to answer ALL REPORTERS at any time they wish to ask him questions?!?

If not, WHY THE EFF NOT?!?

This isn’t about policy.

This is personal.

This is Rosie O’Donnell personal.

And Trump will never back down from such a fight.

He will be hitting back, and five times as hard.

OANN should be given the opening question and the last question and that should send a message.

Anti-American Crony Capitalist Big Media gets special rights regular people don't get.

They are the gate keepers, after all.

Screw the Constitution.

Just what I wrote on another site!

As long as Acosta has a Press Pass to the White House, I would not have another Press Conference - PERIOD!

When all the other reporters get tired of NOT having access to this Administration, they will change their tune!

Why stop at just "all reporters"?

Why not ALL PEOPLE.
