Comcast on Wednesday fired Andrew Kovalic, a 10-year employee who earlier this week became the target of a viral petition alleging that he is a member of a hate group.
The petition that called for Kovalic’s termination, which had garnered 373 signatures by Wednesday morning, was created and sponsored by the Philadelphia-based nonprofit Media Mobilizing Project, which often scrutinizes media and telecommunications companies like Comcast.

“[Antifa] better hope that the other side doesn’t mobilize,” Trump concluded, “Because if you look, the other side, it’s the military. It’s the police. It’s a lot of very strong, a lot of very tough people. Tougher than them. And smarter than them.”
“They’re sitting back and watching and they’re getting angrier and angrier,” Trump said of the Antifa opposition.
At some point surely this is going to turn into a “Boy who cried wolf” issue, and companies won’t just jump at these petitions anymore.
The Trump is beginning to sound some warnings.
The saddest thing to me is: this isn’t even liberal. It’s illiberal pretending to be liberal. We aren’t seeing Antifa-like activity out of charities.

Comcast, the worse company on the planet
Back in the mid 2000’s, Comcast did a marketing campaign where “Comcast its Comctastic” (play on fantastic). Which its nickname by customers, employees and ex exployees, “comcrap its craptastic”
How did this awful local cable company in New Jersey and Philly become so powerful?
An employee sent me a screen shot of a problem. One of the browser tabs he had open was StormFront.
Ironically, he was Hispanic.
There’s not really anything “liberal” about the Left, unless there’s an argument that liberalism leads to Leftism, which is debatable. It doesn’t really matter, as they will not be stopped by accurate labeling or shame. These people need to be opposed everywhere, in every forum, at all times, until they are defeated.

translation: 300 weaponized whackjobs on the interweb can get you fired. Nobody’s job is safe.
Glad I’m retired.
The last few years at work I got called a Nazi in front of other employees by one of my supervisors who’d already known for years that I was a conservative but probably felt emboldened by her current position to behave like that.
Last I heard she’s no longer there. Her live in boyfriend, a middle manager, got frog marched off the workplace for “something he shouldn’t have done.” Wonder if her leaving is related to that.
Wouldn’t surprise me if these folks felt their politics would protect them.
As it was, I retired when I planned to with a decent severance package.
But it doesn’t end well for everyone, even when they play by the rules.
Just watch your six, everyone.

Lots of people unsuccessfully tried to get Michael Miselis fired from Northrop Grumman but eventually his name was mentioned in an investigative report on PBS and they fired him right away. A couple of months later he and 7 others were indicted.
