People mocking this but, per @colvinj, Trump was supposed to take a helicopter, which can’t fly in this weather. Going by land would require a long motorcade, which Kelly and Pompeo won’t need.

It appears that Trump’s critics have forgotten how many unvetted Muzzies now live in France that would dearly love to take Trump out. And given their success rate in France I doubt that the Secret Service would allow an impromptu motorcade without proper pre-planning and adequate resources.

Frum is an A-hole. Even when there is a long motorcade like that, there are helicopters that fly protective backup. There are also predetermined landing zones for emergency evac. This is not just done on the spur of the moment. If the copters can’t fly, there is no motorcade.
