A federal appeals court in San Francisco ruled against the Trump administration Thursday, saying the government cannot immediately end the DACA program that gives young undocumented immigrants a chance to continue living and working in the U.S. without the threat of deportation.
The administration had sought to block an injunction from lower courts that temporarily prevented the government from going ahead with plans to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.
The Executive wields awesome power in the enforcement of our nations immigration laws, the ruling said. Our decision today does not curb that power, but rather enables its exercise in a manner that is free from legal misconceptions and is democratically accountable to the public.

So, we get our first test in the new Supreme Court. Certainly replacing Ruth Ginsberg will help even more, as then we can tolerate one of our side acting up.
Jeeez. Banana Republic complete with corrupt courts and a 4 trillion dollar stasi state.
Ok, Trump should play the game too. Keep REJECTING applications. The court said keep the program open but who says you have to accept the applications? Keep rejecting these illegal vomits.
No surprise there but certainly frustrating, if not mind boggling, that one president can sign an EO but another cannot cancel it.
Everyone is making a big deal about getting the Senate because of the chance to confirm more SC justices.
What is flying under the radar is that Trump can comoletelynre-shape the abomination that is the Ninth Circuit.
The DACA scam is highly partisan, selecting for young people highly likely to vote Democratic if retained in the country and allowed to become citizens.
The last act of this Republican Congress should be to end basic taxation of earned personal income and welfare programs.
The Democrats couldn’t reinstate them for four years.
It IS San Francisco........
So says the Ninth Circuit Court, the most over-ruled court on appeal in the country.
These F’in tyrants really believe they’re the arbiters of what can and cannot happen with regards to the military and immigration, higher than the president’s express Constitutional authority over such matters.
They cannot be gotten rid of soon enough.
So the president cannot end an illegal program put in place by an illegal alien pretender to the throne?
“Everyone is making a big deal about getting the Senate because of the chance to confirm more SC justices.”
Not me. If the courts are given that much power, then we don’t have a constitutional republic anymore. We have judicial tyranny. We have entirely way too many people here that defer to the courts as the final authority or arbiter of what’s constitutional. It’s depressing.
I think that may be what we have to do. Here’s what the CATO says about it, in brief. But I’m not clear if this is what the Appeals just shot down?:
“...the Trump administration could continue the current priorities for removal and allow current recipients of DACA to use their EADs until they expire, while not accepting new applications or renewals. This would be the least controversial and most practical decision that would also be consistent with Trumps campaign promises.”
Talk to the hand 9th Circuit. 80 per cent of your outlandish decisions get reversed on appeal to the SC. Now that we have that 5th conservative justice all the trash you send up there will be reversed
DACA is nothing but a mass invasion. If you cannot change the way people vote, change the people.
The 9th circuit judges really are a bunch of nitwits.
Why does the media so often refer to the Ninth Circuit (Ninth Circus) as merely the “Federals Appeals Court in San Francisco”.
It has an official title and would have the same title no matter what western U.S. city it is or was located in - “United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit”, or simply the Ninth Circuit.
An “inferior” court Created and Controlled by CONgress is NOT an “equal” branch of Government and their ruling is meaningless.
