White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders has been accused of sharing a "doctored" video of CNN correspondent Jim Acostas interaction with a White House intern that resulted in the reporters press pass being revoked.
Acosta's press pass to access the White House was suspended "until further notice" Wednesday, hours after he engaged in a contentious back-and-forth with President Trump. A White House intern attempted to retrieve the microphone from Acosta, but the CNN reporter resisted and asked an additional question and thats where things get cloudy.
Sanders said the suspension of his press credentials stemmed from his "placing his hands on a young woman just trying to do her job as a White House intern." She called the behavior "absolutely unacceptable."
But many high-profile media members, including The New York Times Maggie Haberman and CNN executive Matt Dornic, have accused Sanders of using a doctored video speeding up Acostas arm motion, as evidence.
We stand by our decision to revoke this individuals hard pass. We will not tolerate the inappropriate behavior clearly documented in this video, Sanders tweeted to accompany the allegedly doctored video.
Absolutely shameful, @PressSec. You released a doctored video, Dornic responded.
Yes, the White House press office is sharing a manipulated video that makes it appear that Acosta was menacing the intern when he was not and did not. The intern reached over Acosta to grab the microphone while he was trying to ask another q and Acosta tried to pull away, Haberman wrote.
"The question is: did the reporter make contact or not? The video is clear, he did. We stand by our statement, Sanders told Fox News when reached for comment.

Where is MeToo?
We have this on video, yet we were supposed to believe Christine Ford’s foggy memories from more than 30 years ago.
If these twits didn’t have double standards, they’d have no standards at all.
I don’t think they video was doctored.
Apparently they are very sensitive when they think you are turning their own tactics back on them though.
Po-tay-to, po-tah-to.
I saw 3 different versions of the video yesterday.
One, supposedly edited by NBC, removed the contact.
One, from a different angle (focused on POTUS), did not show it.
One, seen here on FR, did show the contact.
I personally do not think Sarah Sanders or anyone in the WH “doctored” the film clip to make it look like Acosta touched the intern.
In retrospect, I wish POTUS had told a couple of the SS goons there to remove Acosta from the building at the time of the incident.
Why can’t someone else blow it up like that one and see the same thing.
Why is Faux News even giving credibility to this Fake News?
I think we all know why. They are racing to catch up the level of disinformation of CNN.
Its not doctored, that is fake news!

Both unedited, straight from c-span.
There are basically two videos of Asscosta v. the intern. One coming from CNNABCCBS which cuts the arm chop completely out and the other that slows the arm chop making it look worse put out by some internet news site. Sarah didn’t have anything to do with either, but that doesn’t matter to fake news stations.

One was doctored. I’ve seen video where he clearly grabs her forearm with a clenched hand and I’ve seen another version where he swats her away with the back of his palm almost.
Once again, not good. It’s amateur time
Projection. They do it so they assume we do it.
It is important that we all understand something about our American Culture today.
It is OK for democrats to assault, taunt, harass and rape women as long as they apologize and get some “help”.
It is not ok for republicans to even be accused of thinking incorrectly about a woman, let alone physical contact of any kind regardless of the circumstances or relationship.
I work in Hollywood and know every CGI app imaginable. There’s a way you could edit that video but for this one, fat chance. Stupid leftards in the media...they really are a violent pack of bitches.
He chopped down hard enough to turn her body.

"I am woman, hear me moan ......"
What I saw her on FR yesterday was a video where he grabs her by the forearm.
Now today, the video released by news stations show him just pushing her away without grabbing.
In each they made contact. So to me it’s splitting hairs. But I sure hope no one messed with the video.

Those of us who SAW IT YESTERDAY know he tried to bat her arm away. Will no one on the other side tell the truth anymore?? They must not be believers, because they would know which way they would be heading when they pass away!
We all saw the incident from several perspectives - doesn’t matter what Sarah sent out; we all saw what happened!
I’m less concerned about the contact than the way he aggressively went after POTUS. I get tough questions, but this guy is beyond unprofessional. He is an activist; not a journalist.
He should be removed because of his temperament, aggressiveness and his grandstanding, not for that incident.
That being said, no intern should have to be treated like that! She was pretty tough and insistent; parents should be proud. Put her in a very uncomfortable position. Thought she handled it well.
