Honestly, Trump was a bad “candidate” but has morphed into an incredible president.

He didn’t care about being a candidate. He cared about being a winner. There’s a huge difference.

It seems a fair assessment.

The thing that gets me most here on FR is literally the belief that somehow expressing a desire to have a new party seems to be almost universal, but actually trying to form one seems to be almost universally frowned upon.

Back when Carter was giving away the Panama Canal Senator Dale Bumpers from Arkansas said he knew the people of his state was against giving it away “but I think I know better than they do”.

When he was running for senate I worked at a small radio station is the Delta. He was holding a so called press conference with all of his media puppets. I asked him if he would do anything to try to bring a river port to Helena, Arkansas. He said “I hope you don’t think I’m going to stand here in Helena and say I’m against a port in Helena.” All of his little puppets just laughed and laughed. And that’s why Bumpers won and Bill Clinton got elected governor that year. Idiot suck-ups.
