FLORIDA - The U.S. Senate race between Florida Gov. Rick Scott and Sen. Bill Nelson is still statistically too close to call – despite Scott calling the race for himself Tuesday night.

Poll results are counting in at 50-50 with Scott pulling ahead slightly with less than 40,000 votes between them.

In a speech to supporters in Naples just before midnight on Tuesday, Scott said he was confident in his victory.

Interesting how this station is saying it is 50-50 and it is actually 50.2% Scott to 49.8 100% reporting. Nelson has not given a concession speech yet and was looking at some outstanding votes on thumb drives in Broward last night.

hmmmm. Very interesting. I guess he found out the votes just were not there. WFTV pushed Nelson and Gillum like crazy and disputed GOP ads against Gillum. Perhaps they are having trouble admitting they lost. They keep saying the Scott win is not official yet.

The dems are looking for 50,000 missing votes on thumb drives in the trunks of cars in Bridgeport.

FL radical left wing media still trying to drag one of the radical over the finishing line .

Hey Fl left wing media what happen to the Desantis down by 7 on election day !
Desantis won by a bigger margin than Scott .

Scott distancing himself from Trump hurt a little.

We are meeting this week about Trump 2020 !

Oh, great. Here we go again. How many times will the votes be recounted? Florida does not need ANOTHER Al Gore debacle.

If the Rats find enough votes for a recount the upcoming circus will make the 2000 fiasco look tame. “Rick Scott, as governor in charge of the recount!” The stooge media and mobs in the street will go wild.

Well it’s about as close to 50-50 as a race had gotten last night. I’m sure a recount will be automatic.

If Nelson doesn’t concede send every lawyer we have down there. Blatant attempt to steal an election.

This is disheartening. I thought Scott had won this. We never win recounts.

Now down to 35K or so lead for scott. Desantis ahead by 55K. This is important because had the “final” vote tally been split with Gillum winning, it would have looked favorable for the dems to complain. Still, the GOP better have a team of lawyers on the tarmac ASAP because this could get ugly if Nelson pushes a court fight. Meanwhile, he surely will push for a recount since the spread is within the mandated number and in fact that news just came across.

Wow! Nelson said they are proceeding with a recount and Rick Scott issued a statement “This race is over.”

Scot called the race for “himself?” Um, so did NBC, CBS and FOX.

WFTV is a liberal ABC pos station, always has been.

NBC & CBS have not called it (or if they did they reversed it).
