In TX, as everywhere else, blame the 24x7x365 TV news media blackout/blondeout/brownout of good news for the repubbies, continuous praise for the democrat-socialists, and deliberate ignoring and hiding of ANY democrat failures and excesses.

In GA, the 55-45 trend continues for the Gov race - now with 60% reporting.

Candidate Party Votes Percentage
Brian Kemp GOP 1,423,741 55%
Stacey Abrams Dem 1,126,880 44%
Ted Metz Lib 23,270 1%
Total 2,573,891

60% Reporting 1,593 of 2,634 Precincts

On the other hand, a race that I have been ignoring, Karen Handel is only at 51-49 lead.

Ahead, but not by as much as I would prefer, given the Fulton county part of that district.

To continue our saga, the 55-45 trend remains for GA governor with 80% reporting:

Candidate Party Votes Percentage
Brian Kemp GOP 1,624,925 54%
Stacey Abrams Dem 1,376,719 45%
Ted Metz Lib 28,255 1%
Total 3,029,899

80% Reporting 2,099 of 2,634 Precincts

Handel, GA-06, not as strong in liberal East Cobb county, northern Fulton county.

Candidate Party Votes Percentage
Karen Handel GOP 101,032 51%
Lucy McBath Dem 95,572 49%
Total 196,604

53% Reporting 110 of 207 Precincts The GA05 race is the other way, 48% GOP, 52 democrat.

Nope, it is GA District 07 that is threatened with a GOP-to-democrat turncoat (er, turnover) at 48-52%.

Candidate Party Votes Percentage
Carolyn Bourdeaux Dem 103,827 52%
Rob Woodall i GOP 97,343 48%

From what I can tell, looks like about 580,000 votes outstanding. Abrams would have to take about 71% to close the gap. I think Kemp will be okay.

Yes, he's still sitting at a 53%-47% lead for GA governor, now with almost 95% reported.

Candidate Party Votes Percentage
Brian Kemp GOP 1,840,064 53%

Ted Metz Lib 33,701 1%
Total 3,492,832

93% Reporting 2,447 of 2,634 Precincts

The news is not as good for the House: One (R) incumbent looking very poor (if not out) at 48%-52% to the new democrat in GA07, one preserved though narrowly at 52-48% in Karen Handel's district 06.

U.S. House, District 6, General Election, StateCode: GA, State: Georgia
Candidate Party Votes Percentage
Karen Handel i GOP 132,130 52%
Lucy McBath Dem 122,673 48%

Rob Woodall i GOP 105,352 48%
Total 219,779

Loudermilk, (R) GA11, is OK. That used to be Larry McDonald's district, then went to Gingrich's, then Gingery.

Thanks c. I think we've come out ahead, and this bodes well for the 2020 Trump coattails.

True, way too close for a socialist - even with millions of propaganda from the AJC and their national press corpse.

Handel, GA06 district, dropped back to a very narrow (few dozen vote) recount, and GA07 pulled up to a close win. Recount unlikely.

And, as a final dial tone to the evening of defeats and upsets in the House, Karen Handel quit (conceded to McBath) after 2900 more democrat votes were "discovered" Wednesday night-Thursday morning in GA-06 Congressional District.

U.S. House, District 6, General Election, StateCode: GA, State: Georgia
Candidate Party Votes Percentage
Lucy McBath Dem 159,353 50%
Karen Handel i GOP 156,419 50%
