A gun in the hand is worth more than a carload of cops on the way. I'd say! The one and only time my house alarm has ever gone off in the middle of the night, it took a very long 25 minutes for a deputy to arrive.

A gun in the hand is worth more than a carload of cops on the way. Very true. I had a couple of thugs try to break into my motel room a few years ago. As soon as they saw my Glock 23 pointed at them they bolted. Which was a very wise decision. Had they breached the door, I would have opened fire.
