Ohio Senate seat in play?
Real Clear Politics ^

Posted on 11/02/2018 2:21:02 PM PDT by MisterMagic

Just saw on RCP that they have change Ohio's Senate seat from Likely Dem to Leaning Dem, which means the polls are trending in favor of the Republican candidate, Jim Renacci. I'm not so optimistic to believe that Renacci will win, but does anyone have information about early voting in Ohio? Is it possible that this seat is in play?

Let’s not get carried away here. CA, NY, IL, and New England in general are still hotbeds of lunacy.

If Renucci wins, Vukmir and James are going to the Senate, too.

Don’t let the MSM fool you. The Democrats are reeling all over the country. There is no real enthusiasm out there among the RATS. That’s why Obama, Uncle Joe and even The Oprah is out there rallying the troops!

Sherrod Brown has been hit with some very credible accusations of wife beating from his ex-wife and sexual assault from other women.
It is documented that his wife requested, and got a restraining order against him, citing physical and verbal abuse during their nasty divorce. He can’t deny it, the documentation is there.
I hope he loses. He is nothing but Schumer’s rubber stamp puppet.

Sherrod Brown has been fooling Ohioans for a long time. Renacci is not going to stop it now. Sadly.

HUGE early vote turnout In Ohio - has already exceeded 2014 and 2016. Modeled voter data says GOP leads all voters over 40 years old (88% of the electorate so far) and lead Democrats 49% to 39%.

I was in Ohio (OU is my alma mater) in mid-October and I can tell you that if you go beyond just looking at yard signs there is very little actual enthusiasm for either Brown or Cordray. Even the libs I talked to in Athens simply did not like Cordray (they said he was smarmy) and the women are voting for Brown only out of duty. They feel like he really is a wifebeater and they would love to vote for someone else. Meanwhile, in the union halls, the VFWs and other places where Trump supporters tend to congregate (not necessarily conservatives, but Trump supporters) in the smaller, factory towns there IS real enthusiasm and people were excited to vote. Not so much to vote for Renacci or DeWine but, rather, to vote to help Trump keep their jobs.

In Connecticut the GOP candidate for governor, Bob Stefanowski, has a two point lead over RAT Ned Lamont. Folks, the Democrats are reeling all over the country. Don’t be pessimistic. There will be some surprises in some of the deep blue states on Tuesday night!

Yes! I wish Trump would come to Minnesota. He needs to hit the center of the state. He came to Duluth early, in July or August, I think, then later to Rochester in late September. The rest of the state is totally being neglected. Even so, with no extra help, Minnesota nearly tipped to Trump in 2016. As it is, Powerline blog this morning listed MN’s Congressional District 7 is now in play to oust long term Democrat Collin Peterson.

We could turn that senate seat formerly held by Al Franken to Karin Housley/GOP with a bit more help from the national party.

Minnesota is no longer a blue state!!!It is definitely purple and trending red. Help us out.

As bad as Sherrod Brown is, he’ll hold this seat and win over Renacci by at least 54-46%.

Individual House races in CA, NY, IL, NH and ME are in play (MA, RI and CT are completely gone, I'm afraid).
