I was in Ohio (OU is my alma mater) in mid-October and I can tell you that if you go beyond just looking at yard signs there is very little actual enthusiasm for either Brown or Cordray. Even the libs I talked to in Athens simply did not like Cordray (they said he was smarmy) and the women are voting for Brown only out of duty. They feel like he really is a wifebeater and they would love to vote for someone else. Meanwhile, in the union halls, the VFWs and other places where Trump supporters tend to congregate (not necessarily conservatives, but Trump supporters) in the smaller, factory towns there IS real enthusiasm and people were excited to vote. Not so much to vote for Renacci or DeWine but, rather, to vote to help Trump keep their jobs.
I’ve heard good things about OU and Athens. Watch Bobcats football every chance I get on ESPN.
But I’ve heard Athens is really a liberal wasteland.
