Vice President Pence on Thursday blasted Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams over her support among celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey and Will Ferrell, saying the Democrat has been "bankrolled by Hollywood liberals."
“I heard Oprah is in town today," Pence said at a campaign event for Abrams's GOP opponent, Brian Kemp, according to AJC, a Georgian paper.
Winfrey stumped for Abrams Thursday and has been campaigning door-to-door for the candidate, who is seeking to become the first black female governor in U.S. history.
"I heard Will Ferrell was going door-to-door the other day," the vice president said. "I’d like to remind Stacey and Oprah and Will Ferrell, I’m kind of a big deal, too."
"And I’ve got a message for all of Stacey Abrams’s liberal Hollywood friends: This ain’t Hollywood," he added. "This is Georgia."
"And Georgia wants a governor that’s going to put Georgia values and Georgia first. And Brian Kemp is going to do just that.”
Abrams and Kemp are running a surprisingly tight race in the traditionally red state.
RealClearPolitics shows Kemp up by an average of only 1.4 percentage points across polls with less than a week left before the election.
'Do you want Hollywood to run Georgia?'
In anticipation of Oprah campaigning with Stacey Abrams, we have been reinforcing toilet seats and retrofitting them with air-shocks, here in Georgia.
At some point, Kemp has to echo the magic-negro’s own words: “That’s not who we are. That’s not our values.”

Oprah will definitely help turning out the ghettopotomus vote. Not much else.

It boggles the mind that there are people in this country are stupid enough to vote based on Oprah Winfrey’s whims.
But then I am not surprised.
It’s always great to see the most flaunting Hollywood-liberal ran campaigns fall flat. I hope Kemp wins in a landslide.

I don’t believe that for a minute. She wouldn’t put herself out there without a ton of security. Perhaps they drove through a neighborhood in limos, she got out and knocked on one door but that would be it. Didn’t turn on local news tonight but I will for the late news and see if there are any pictures of her “going door to door.” Putting this woman in the governor’s office would be like electing Cynthia McKinney for governor. But you know what - McKinney would be easier on the eyes! GA can’t win - we got rid of McKinney and got Hank Johnson in her place! UGH!
Sure hope Republicans in Georgia are going to the polls - early or on Tuesday...doesn’t matter! Just do it!
