The frequency of polling is picking up. There are bound to be some outliers. Look at the trends.

Had to hand deliver a billing to a local IN courthouse this week.

The early voting line was as long as I’ve ever seen, even in a Presidential election year.

This is a county that went almost 70% for Trump and rarely elects a Democrat for even the local races

I truly think we are seeing a repeat of 2016. Polls are simply showing what their sponsors want to hear.

I was surprised when I saw the numbers this morning.

Fox Lefty News competes with Cnn and Nbc regarding who has the worst polling .
They are a joke .
I wonder if Sheppy has anything to do with disaster .

Garbage poll... polling outfit who did this either was paid to create this result, or is completely incompetent.

Another idiotic Shepherd Smith special sauce “poll”?
Sorry to say, but Fox polls have been amongst the worst polls ever historically
I give Fox “polls” about the same rating as CNN “polls” which is a ZERO rating.

rainy day today, so I’m off to the courthouse vote.

While I like the process of voting on election day, I can’t WAIT to vote a straight ticket this year.

(I usually vote all Republican anyway, but I like going individually through each race)

Not this year. I want to push up the number of those completely rejecting any and all Democrats

Fox news polling data is ALWAYS skewed 4-5 points in Dem favor.....ALWAYS. If Donnelly has a 7 point lead....most likely it is 2 at most.

polls are intended to SHAPE public opinion, not to reflect it.

They are as accurate today as they were in 2016 (which is to say, not at all)

This is the Left-wing RCP Poll that averages all of the leftwing polls and adds in a couple of objective polls.

It ALWAYS skews left.

"Donnelly bests Republican challenger Mike Braun by seven points among Indiana likely voters, 45-38 percent. His lead is at the poll’s margin of error"

A SEVEN POINT MOE??? This poll is pure garbage!!

Nope. Not even close.

Braun is up, don’t know if it’s 4 or 6, but there is NO indication whatsoever of D heavy voting in IN.

MUCH indication of very, very heavy R voting.

We should keep one fact in mind. Media polls have an overriding purpose, and that is to draw in and hook viewers or readers. Every media outlet, print and broadcast, covers elections. They compete for viewers/readers. So they look for things that separate themselves from the competition, and create it if necessary. They create drama with polls. Drama draws viewers/readers.

I think pollsters don’t care about accuracy, just throw out any number. They know that it is the last number that counts for them.

The weird thing is that the national polls in 2016 were about right. It’s just that no one looked at Wisconsin and Michigan as potential red states or saw Ohio and PA both supporting Republicans.

Wisconsin and Michigan are both having governor’s races this year, those probably are pretty interesting to watch when it comes to assessing Trump’s re-election odds two years out.

According to a Tweet from Bill Mitchell this morning:

Bill Mitchell
@mitchellvii

“Republicans lead EV in IN by 75,000 votes.”
