This pulls the border patrol from everwhere else, creating confusion and opportunities to smuggle even more drugs and illegals. If I were a cartel anywhere but TJ, I think I’d see the caravan as a blessing.

FR will be replaced if it can’t put a premium on quality content, and get rid of emotional trashy thinking.

You may have a point there.

But I was looking at your User Name “SalvaVida”. Some pretty potent Honduran beer! I’m a “Barena” fan, myself.

Barena is relatively new. It was not there when I lived there. Imperial was the heavy-weight. Salvavida was the middle-weight fighter, followed by Port Royal (light weight) and Nacional (fly weight). Nacional is no longer produced.

The article basically say that Trump announced today that he is going to put 15K troops on the border between the US and Mexico to stop the migrants from Central America from coming through. It quotes Trump saying that there are 5K there now and we are going to go to 10 or 15K.

Then it says something interesting. It quotes Trump as saying that guarding the frontier will not involve active duty troops, but might involve calling up troops just like Afghanistan. “It’s a bunch of dangerous people” Trump says, and the article implies that his saying that has something to do with the mid-terms in less than a week. Then Trump is quoted commenting on how unruly a second caravan has been over the past two days, and how there’s another one forming in Salvador even now. .

Then the article starts to ramble on about the first caravan of 3.5 people, and the second one of 2K people, and how they are walking through Chiapas which is on the border with Mexico, and finally how the Department of Homeland Security calls this an unprecedented crisis.

What’s interesting is that la Prensa gives Trump more respect than our own press does.

Right now Barena and Port Royal are the most popular, except among SERIOUS beer drinkers where SalvaVida is king because it’s less expensive and packs a whallop. I’ve never seen Nacional.

Toño from Nicaragua is good, as well as Gallo from Guatemala.

Is this “caravan” not an invading army?

If they approach the border away from an inspection station, you repel them. Period. The choice to die is theirs.

Don’t want to get shot? Go to the inspection station.

They are not and invading army. Words mean stuff.

And if unarmed aliens are shot, they will someday rule over you. Definitely their kids.

“Mine the border”

My brother and I recently invented a cheap, non-explosive mine . It’s electrical, charged by solar cells, can be turned on or off remotely and can be remotely set for from stun to kill. It would be nice to have the business...

It’s been my observation that the Honduran press, the largest news outlets being La Prensa and El Heraldo, are relatively unbiased politically. It’s refreshing to get the straight news without a lot of personal opinion of the reporters. This is also true of TV channels like HCH and NOTI. The news is frequently gory and disturbing because it isn’t censored for the most part, and they don’t mind showing blood and gore. Sometimes I wish they wouldn’t, for the sake of families involved.

Even this caravan thing is reported pretty straightforward, not in support nor opposition. Of course there are small news outlets that don’t fit this mold.

A poll tonight showed the vast majority of respondents think Trump’s actions will deter more people trying to enter the US illegally, and general opposition to illegal immigration.

“Think like a cartel.”

I posted the idea over a week ago to make it impossible for the cartels to get their drugs across and they will do the dirty work to stop the caravan.

This is a translation from Google Translate:

Trump announces that the military will increase to 15,000 at the border

The Pentagon will triple the number of troops on the border with Mexico by order of Trump.

Washington, United States.

US President Donald Trump said Wednesday that up to 15,000 troops could be deployed on the US-Mexico border to stop a convoy of Central American migrants.

“With respect to the caravan of migrants, our military is deployed, we have 5,000 and we are going to go up to 10,000 or 15,000,” Trump said from the White House grounds.

Security management in the southern border generally does not involve troops in active service and a contingent of 15,000 people would be equivalent to the mobilization of the United States in Afghanistan.

“It’s a group of dangerous people,” Trump said, with less than a week before the November 6 legislative elections in which the Republican Party could lose control of Congress.

“If you see what happened in Mexico two days ago, the rudeness of these people from the second caravan that is forming, and also, frankly, from the first one, and now they have another one that is being formed in El Salvador,” he said. the American president.

The first caravan, made up of about 3,500 people, according to the data of the US authorities, advances through the state of Oaxaca, in southern Mexico.

A second group of migrants, made up of about 2,000 people, currently walks through Chiapas, the Mexican state bordering Guatemala.

To those two caravans, there is a march of Salvadorans who left their country on Sunday and two other groups that gather about 2,000 people who left this Wednesday from San Salvador.

On Wednesday, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) described the current situation as an “unprecedented crisis.”

Thank you Salvavida for pointing out what so many blood-thirsty idiots seem to think is the solution for everything....they give us all a bad name and are as useful as the 2nd Amendment supporters that seem to be itching for a chance to kill someone instead of praying , like I do, that I never have to use my weapon against a human being.

Looks like this "Gideon" is made of the Pre-God telling him he was a hero stuff...it's usually the cowards that push for others to do some wholesale killing...fear can be a terrible thing to succumb to....here's hoping none of this ilk start thinking they hear the voice of an Angel of the Lord telling them it's time to do great things...

I’m not sure what your post means, but if it’s a personal attack then I’m compelled to answer. Never once have I advocated killing anyone. I’m merely stating the news from the ground in Honduras. Some of the things I’ve said are my opinions from personal observation and acquaintance with people here. If I were the “coward” you mention, I would be living in a gated gun-free community in California, but I’m not. I live by and rub shoulders every day with these Honduran people, and many are my relatives and close friends. I’ve only said that many of those in the caravans are not the kind you might want as neighbors in the US, for I have seen their actions first-hand.

I’ve said that the people in the caravans are, for the most part, not the best Honduras has to offer. That doesn’t mean there are not good people there, just not many of the most educated and ambitious kind. Many in these caravans are there because they’ve been duped by political wannabe tyrants who use gullible people for their own ends. Many others are known anarchists that should never be let into the US. But NEVER have I suggested killing them!

Several years ago I chose to live in Honduras because it is the homeland of my wife, and I deferred to her wish to live among her native people. Because of that decision I have been called a traitor, a drug trafficker, a tax evader, a pedophile, a criminal on the lam from US laws, and various other unspeakable names. Now I’m called a “Pre-God stuff” (whatever that is), a “coward pushing others to do some wholesale killing”, and, no, I don’t hear angel voices telling me to do “great things”. So call me whatever makes you feel warm and fuzzy, for I’m used to it.

I’ve tried to show local Honduras news reports so that people in the US, you included, could see these issues from another point of view, but if you would prefer to be blind and one-sided, I can most certainly stop. Many times I’ve posted my disgust with “Keyboard Kommandos” and “Armchair Generals” on FR and elsewhere. Those who bluster about owning hundreds of guns, and advocate killing anyone they find distasteful are, in my opinion, fools. Those who would actually act on that bluster are lunatics. In that part we agree.

So, there. I have stated my position, so flame away. I appreciate civil discussion, but I wont’ put up with personal attacks. This will be my last post on this issue for I’m signing off from Honduras.

They ARE AN army of invaders. 150 years ago we would have killed every one of them down to the last screaming child.

I remain resolute in the orders to shoot to kill anyone who attempts to cross the border away from an official inspection station

Amen

After the first twenty or so die the invasion will cease

Absent a few deaths, the invasion will never cease

The precedent will then be followed in Hungry and Italy

Even the President didn't call them invaders because it has a specific military connotation. He said "like" invaders, i.e., having a semblance of. Big difference.

You are mentally sick and you need Jesus.

Mods, you have a nutcase that favors slaughtering anyone who crosses the border. I'm at a loss of whether JimRob wants that on his site.

FR is becoming a steaming pile of crap allowing this rhetoric to occur. You don't commit mass murder for a misdemeanor.
