US President Donald Trump said Wednesday that up to 15,000 troops could be deployed on the US-Mexico border to stop a convoy of Central American migrants.

Also, Honduran news sources just announced that Bartolo Fuentes, the "community organizer" of these caravans, has fled the country after a warrant was issued for his arrest. I'm not sure yet what crime he is charged with.

need to take that 15,000 and multiply by 10.

150,000 troops at the border to patrol every sector with orders to shoot to kill anyone who approaches anywhere away from an official inspection station.

That's an awesome idea! Shoot illegals and lose every election henceforth, and then get ruled by them when they vote you out demographically!!

Keep them coming, FR is a practical conservative think tank!

Trump should FORCE am invite to setup these tent cities in MEXICO, in exchange for sweeping border towns of the cartels that the Mex Gov can’t handle. Win-Win.

Think like a cartel.

Trump drops he’s ready to deploy 15,000.

“those pieces of crap are interrupting my international multi-billion dollar business running drugs and humans into the U.S.”

“we need to stop them.”

”I’m not sure yet what crime he is charged with.”

I suppose it depends on which country he was fleeing from, Mexico or Honduras.

Mine the border. Have the mines remitely controlled on/off. Activate 1/10th if them randomly. Nobody coming across will know if they are active or not. Sort of like concealed carry mines. A couple ILLEGALS get blown up, then nobody else chances it. You don’t need 15000 troops, just one guy with a switchboard.

The government of Honduras has not made an official statement yet, as far as I know, but the evening news, NOTI-6, just said Fuentes was charged with human trafficking. I guess they see him as a “coyote”.

I’m sure there is some way, but La Prensa doesn’t allow copy and paste. At least not the last time I tried it. I don’t like posting articles in Spanish but with local news I don’t have much choice.

If I find a way, I’ll give it a try.

”Think like a cartel.

I used to believe that enhanced border enforcement would motivate the cartels to take care of the caravan themselves. Then I read that most of the caravan is headed to Tijuana, and it occurred to me that some of the cartels would see the benefit of having an area controlled by their rival shut down. We won’t call up enough force to completely seal the entire border, that would take a huge number of troops and a many times that number to support them. What we are likely to do is track the caravan and concentrate our forces in spots where we expect them to cross. This pulls the border patrol from everwhere else, creating confusion and opportunities to smuggle even more drugs and illegals. If I were a cartel anywhere but TJ, I think I’d see the caravan as a blessing.

Ok, I found a way to get it into Google Translate. It came out pretty good, with a few slight grammar glitches, but the translation is still probably better than mine. This is the entire article in English.

Trump announces that the military will increase to 15,000 at the border

The Pentagon will triple the number of troops on the border with Mexico by order of Trump.

Washington, United States.

US President Donald Trump said Wednesday that up to 15,000 troops could be deployed on the US-Mexico border to stop a convoy of Central American migrants.

“With respect to the caravan of migrants, our military is deployed, we have 5,000 and we are going to go up to 10,000 or 15,000,” Trump said from the White House grounds.

Security management in the southern border generally does not involve troops in active service and a contingent of 15,000 people would be equivalent to the mobilization of the United States in Afghanistan.

“It’s a group of dangerous people,” Trump said, with less than a week before the November 6 legislative elections in which the Republican Party could lose control of Congress.

“If you see what happened in Mexico two days ago, the rudeness of these people from the second caravan that is forming, and also, frankly, from the first one, and now they have another one that is being formed in El Salvador,” he said. the American president.

The first caravan, made up of about 3,500 people, according to the data of the US authorities, advances through the state of Oaxaca, in southern Mexico.

A second group of migrants, made up of about 2,000 people, currently walks through Chiapas, the Mexican state bordering Guatemala.

To those two caravans, there is a march of Salvadorans who left their country on Sunday and two other groups that gather about 2,000 people who left this Wednesday from San Salvador.

On Wednesday, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) described the current situation as an “unprecedented crisis.”

Yeah, we are really no different than Democrats when we go down that road, and the mods don't do crap about it.

FR will be replaced if it can't put a premium on quality content, and get rid of emotional trashy thinking.
