Jewish leaders from Iowa wrote a letter for the Des Moines Register Tuesday condemning Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) for white supremacist views.
Alan Steckman, president of Adas Israel in Mason City and John Pleasants, president of Ames Jewish Congregation, explained that they felt the need to respond in the wake of Saturday's shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh.
The two criticized King for using "funds from a Holocaust education organization to meet with a notoriously anti-Semitic propaganda site" as "shocking beyond any previous outrage."
They said that King's promotion of white supremacist ideology had previously gone unchallenged by many, and that that silence can "foster a climate that enables the kind of hateful violence that erupted three times in the last week."
"We call on all elected officials to stand with Iowa's Jewish community, denounce King's actions, and hold him accountable."
King has several contributors stop supporting him in the wake of recent comments, including Land O'Lakes, Intel and Purina.
A poll released Tuesday showed King with just a 1-point lead in the race over Democract JD Scholten.
The Cook Political Report also moved the race from "likely Republican" to "lean Republican," indicating the nonpartisan handicapper believes the race is tightening.
It turns out the midterms are going to be about antisemitism, 'white nationalism', and 'white supremacy'.
We have a new litmus test to contend with.

'Are you willing to go on record denouncing 'white nationalism' and 'white supremacy'?
The media is just bludgeoning the Jews to fall in line this election.

Whenever you get summaries instead of contextual quotes from a left wing publication, you know its a smear.

Trump does his best to bypass them but they still collectively control the 'narrative'.
Add to this the fact Conservatives are being purged from social media platforms.
The result is one side gets to set the news agenda.
You can bet the Democratic Media Complex is going to demand Trump, Republicans, and Conservatives denounce 'white' anything and everything.

When all else fails for Democrats (as usual) they go to the old reliable deck of race cards. A few months ago the RATS were shooting their mouths off all but declaring they were going to win back both chambers of Congress. A different story today. The fact they’re going hard on the race baiting in the last week of the campaign is an indication they’re not confident at all, that they’re fading in their internal polls and know they’re in trouble next week.
