I got groped a time or two. I got over it. Actually, I never thought it was that big of a deal. I do remember one big groper at a place of employment when I was 16. I know he remembers, too. I just wonder if he’s shitting in his pants, wondering if I’ll come out with my own “me too” claim. He needn’t worry, I won’t.

I never bought this woman’s story.
But, as you both pointed out, we all had to learn to handle this stuff as teenage girls. It certainly didn’t affect us for the rest of our lives.

This is the same “virginal” habitually drunken teenager who bragged about having 54 plus different sex partners before she started college.
Her outrageous/dangerous promiscuousness as a teenager is the most likely the reason why she’s so screwed up.
Being groped as a young teen is a big deal, and traumatic, at the time. A girl that age has heard of rape and she will be quite scared. But after it was just a grope and she is ok, I give her a week or so to hopefully tell someone and be safer in the future (especially if it was someone she needs to be kept safe from, in her life). There is barely a reason to remember it 30 years later. We are not speaking of rape at knifepoint or ripping her clothes actually off, or a scary guy in an alley. We are speaking of a high school kid who achieved pretty much nothing.
