Trump: If they had some type of protection inside the temple, maybe it could have been a very much different situation. They didnt.
Another mass public shooting. Our hearts go out to those who lost loved ones and friends at the Pittsburgh Tree of Life Synagogue. Fortunately, we finally have a president who understands how to stop these attacks. These gun-free zones serve as magnets for these attacks. Killers go to where victims are defenseless. When are we ever going to learn that virtually all these mass public shootings occur in places where people arent allowed to protect themselves. We should have signs up in front of schools, churches, and synagogues that say the there are people who have concealed handguns there to protect others. This is so much more important than an armed guard who can be readily identified by a terrorist. The synagogue also said that they were limited in what they could do security wise because of finances. Allowing people to have permitted concealed handguns is very inexpensive.
Off duty police officers are great for a job like this - trained and armed.
Yes, allowing citizens the ability to protect themselves via concealed carry permits would have prevented this from being a mass casualty event. Big city leaders will not admit this as they prefer to keep their citizens at risk. When seconds count a cop is only minutes away...
If done without fanaticism, it’s a sensible idea.
One of the hymns that is sung on the eve of the Sabbath at many synagogues is one that is addressed to angels of peace from the Most High. Come in peace, go in peace. And (though not explicitly said) guard the souls, giving them joy.
This would be such a great volunteer ministry for gentile Christians (due to the intricacies of Jewish traditional law, that would cut the Gordian knots to doing it). There virtually certainly won’t be a shootout if there are posted warnings. It’s the unprotected sheep that the wolves go after. Not the ones with a Shepherd and a sheep dog.
So are armed citizens.
I do believe Rabbis carry to Shabbat in Israel so I dont think it is a dogma issue other than libtard dogma.
I have a CCP and would be thrilled to protect a Synagogue but I am certain I would never be invited.
The danger is so heightened there that they can fit it into halacha. In a place like America there could still be a debate. Pittsburgh type events are still rare.
Forming a Christian organization focused on offering the help might be a good plan... they can pray too for both the welfare of the Jews and to be a witness of their presence. Not all witnesses have to be John 3:16 uttered out loud.
Years ago I felt honored to be invited to share a Passover Seder with a Jewish friends family. I just wanted to see it but they were even more interested than I was and constantly asked my opinion on the Christian perspective of each element. It was a great day.
More guns.
Less crime.
