Last week the United States was once again ranked as the world's most competitive economy. It's a distinction that we haven't had since 2008, due in part to the regulatory nightmare created by President Obama. Reducing those regulations is part of the reason our unemployment rate is at a 49-year low and economic growth is so strong.

It’s not just to help increase pilot wages I’m certain, but perhaps as well to increase the hiring of foreign pilots. The Obama Administration was pro globalism.

The portion of the story that said pilots are limited to 2.7 hours per day is a lie. I refer Freepers to FAR 121 for airlines, FAR 135 for charter and FAR 91 for corporate flight operations. There is no limit on daily flight hours for corporate. There are limits for charter and air carrier.

Yes, duty times are in FAR 117. But they are also in FAR 121.505, 507, 509, 511, 513,515,517, 519, 521, 523, and 525.
