A prominent Wisconsin protester who twice unsuccessfully sought the Republican nomination for House Speaker Paul Ryan’s seat has been charged with trying to buy a lethal dose of a radioactive substance online.
A court affidavit says an undercover FBI agent posing as a merchant on the dark web was first contacted about the possible purchase of an unnamed radioactive substance in March by someone with the username “tigolebitties.” The dark web consists of hidden websites that can’t be accessed without special software.
The FBI alleges “tigolebitties” was Jeremy Ryan, 30, of the Town of Madison. Ryan said he wanted to order something that would kill fairly quickly after ingestion and was rare enough that if the cause of death was revealed, people would assume only someone in government would have access to the poison, according to the affidavit.
The FBI says Ryan indicated his target was a 6-foot-2 male weighing 220 pounds. An individual was not named.

Anybody know who this Jeremy Ryan is? This is the first I’ve ever heard of him and, living less than an hour-and-a-half away in Chicago, the story makes it sound like he was some kind of prominent Paul Ryan protestor. I’ve supported several people trying to primary Ryan in the past but I’ve never heard of this joker. AP trying to make hay about eeeeevil conservatives in the wake of the coordinated fake bomb threat?

Known as Segway Boy from his days in Madison during the Act 10 mob protests, where non-leftists including the Republican legislators had to escorted by armed guards.
He’s an ultra-leftist nut case in favor of every known leftist cause. He has an extensive criminal history, but because he is one of ‘them’, he never received more than a slap on the wrist - crimes: spousal battery, extortion, running a drug house, intent to sell and a long list of other criminal acts. His criminal history is online if anyone cares to look it up. He tricked a kindly old couple into getting him a Segway because he was in poor health and likely to die at any moment ... total BS but useful in extorting money.
The unknown person he wanted to kill (in a manner which would make it look like the ‘Russians did it’), was 6 foot 200Lbs.

This libtard jerk is locally known as Segway Boy. I kid you not. He rode around Madison on a Segway. He only was “running” for office to screw up the repub ballot. It was a protest. He was aggressive in harassing repubs and their family members starting when Gov Walker got Act 10 passed which limited state employee union power. Segway Boy was way ahead of AnteeFaa in attacking conservatives.
The AP and other outlets put the “he ran as a repub” in articles to mislead the reading public.

Likely polonium. He wanted something fast acting when ingested. Co-60 not all that more lethal when ingested than just being in the proximity, also if you have enough Co-60 to be “lethal” in a short period of exposure you need a semi to transport the shielding cask. Otherwise you die of the radiation exposure before you can position the Cobalt near your target. If I had to guess any web site selling polonium is a sting site run by the FBI.
