If I were set up to vote by absentee in Florida, it would be a no-brainer to vote for DeSantis. Biggest worry is that despite his idiocy and moral disabilities, he can dangle some damned thing or other to AARP members, and get their votes.

Well, good on you. My in-laws retired to Florida, and they were reflexive Dem voters. Grew up in the Depression and all. Both are gone, my mother-in-law here, so at least she won’t be voting Dem. But he’s in a Florida cemetery, and probably doing his duty to the Party still.
