GREENVILLE, S.C. — The chanting began moments after Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) arrived at Friday's get-out-the-vote rally at a black church: “The next president! The next president! The next president!”
One day earlier, in Orangeburg, Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) plunged into a crowd of hundreds at Betty Henderson's annual Democratic Party cookout for a full hour of selfies, hugs and hundreds of black voters telling him to run for president.
“Don't let that handsome man leave without taking a picture with me!” said Henderson, a longtime local party leader.
The race for the first Southern primary, which has become a competition for black voters, is well underway, and it's like nothing South Carolina Democrats have ever seen. For the first time, multiple black candidates with long political résumés are looking seriously at running for president. For the first time, black voters know that a candidate who looks like them can win the White House, because Barack Obama pulled it off.

How in the name of God did so many non-NBCs,right and left, get the idea that they can run for president?!!? Obama should have been vetted, but we all know how that went. We are in danger of setting a defacto precedent and nullifying a portion of our constitution through indifference—right and left.
She was born in California. As long as her parents were legally in the United States when she was born, she is a Natural Born Citizen.

Precedent Obama was a purposeful effort on the part of BOTH parties so that the meaning of natural born citizen would be bastardized to mean anyone born a citizen, something that was specifically rejected by the founders as insufficient to restrict foreign influence on the Commander in Chief.
Natural born citizen was chosen instead of citizen at birth because it excluded the children of foreign nationals.
Only those who are naturally citizens because they cannot possibly be anything else are eligible.
Anyone born with other nationalities is ineligible, even if born an American, too.
Barack Obama was born a British subject.
Who really believes John Jay, whose letter to Washington on the subject still exists, or any of the founders, would believe Obama to be a natural born citizen

Someone in power better resolve the Natural Born Citizen issue. Kamala Harris is not a Natural Born Citizen. In fact I don’t belive her parents were even citizens when she was born. Her parents were from India and Jamaica.
