**SNIP**
The cover-up has been so effective that this isn't happening. Imran Awan, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.)'s I.T. aide, got off without jail time or restitution on only bank fraud charges. Congress got off without paying the price for possible corruption and for allowing a spy ring to run free in Congress. We can't even be sure that Congress has made the necessary reforms to stop another spy ring from infiltrating and spying on Congress and thereby using stolen data to blackmail a congressman, influence a vote, or just know where members of Congress stand on various pieces of legislation, all of which can impact us.
**SNIP**
Some sources, most notably current I.T. aides who work for congressmen, have told me that security protocols have been tightened and that they don't think other I.T. aides will be able to get in the door again without first passing background checks. Nevertheless, Capitol Police won't confirm this or even answer if the laptop they'd found and held as evidence the one Wasserman Schultz threatened the chief of Capitol Police with "consequences" over if it wasn't returned promptly has now been given back to Wasserman Schultz.
The government has conveniently managed this cover-up to protect itself.

The whole thing smells. More info @ the link.
The RATS will never be scandalized because the GOP is not pushing the issue hard enough.
This is the most buried story of last year. These guys had the keys to everything. The Rats waved the standard background checks and gave Muzzies admin access to house computer accounts for those not in IT thats everything. The truth of this was totally buried.
The Demonicrats are traitors and the RINOcrats are gutless cowards.
Swell....
And Ryan lets them get away with it. Pos.
IMHO, Ryan has effectively finished serving in the House. He out scouting lobbyists for his next high-paying gig.
PAUL RYAN - MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT!!
The Country rightfully had to come first - the wrongdoing had to be identified, investigated, and stopped to protect our institutions. The fat Lady may not have sung yet with regard to the individuals.
Then-Cong Becerra headed the House Congressional Democrat Caucus. Becerra gave the Paki spies free reign over all US intel.
<><> The Awans had access to all the Democrats Congressional data including Democrats emails. Imran Awan is the walking example of an insider threat, a criminal actor who had access to everything. They were using Xavier Becerras House Democratic Caucus as their central service warehouse. The data was completely out of the members possession. Does it mean it was sold to the Russians?
<><> Imrans wife Hina Alvi was the only IT officially authorized to use Xavier Becerra’s House Democratic Caucus computer equipment. She is on record as logging on about 300 times......as the rest of the Awan crew were accessing intel on Becerra’s computer thousands of times using Becerra’s passwords and codes. Becerra was looking the other way (snort). Becerra-—now Cali’s top lawman——refuses to answer questions about this.
<><>The Awan family was logging in to Xavier Becerras House Democratic Caucus server with 17 different accounts belonging to Congressional offices whose data should have had no connection to the caucus, according to the House investigative report. The patterns were consistent with data being funneled onto Becerras server from other members of Congress, but the members said Becerra never alerted them of any aberrations. AND THIS-——During Sept 2016, The Awan clan continued to use then-Cong Xavier Becerras House Democratic Caucus computers in anomalous ways:
<><> logging on as system administrators
<><> changing identities
<><> logging onto Cong Becerras server using 17 different user account credentials
<><> some credentials belonged to Democrat House members
<><> the Awans did not work for 9 of the 17 offices to which user accounts belonged.
<><> investigations found possible storage of sensitive House information outside the House
<><> Dropbox is installed on two Democratic Caucus computers used by the suspects
<><> user accounts had thousands of files in their Dropbox folder on each computer
<><> Using Dropbox is against House rules because it uploads files offsite.
<><> Wash/Po reported Based on the file names, some of the information is likely sensitive.
<><> post-awan clean up discovered many computer set-ups were little more than thin clients
<><> computer set-ups were portals to an outside computer.
<><> Awans were using terminal servers from a computer in a different location.
<><>Virtual Private Networks can make a servers hard drive appear to be local to a computer.
<><> remote sessions remained active for months at a time.
<><> data was always out of the members possession
<><> the Awans were using Becerras House Democratic Caucus as their central service warehouse.
<><> the Awans collectively logged onto Becerras Caucus system 5,735 times, avg 27 per day
<><> other offices were accessed less than 60 times.
<><> the pattern of login activity suggests steps were taken to conceal their activity
<><>aggregating multiple members data means all that data was absconded with
<><> L/E said Becerras entire Democratic Caucus server physically disappeared while being monitored by L/E.
<><> no scenario exists where the Awan clans access was appropriate
<><> House members are not allowed to accept services from people not on their payroll
<><> House employees are not permitted to log in to servers of members for whom they do not work.
<><> House policies are codified by law.
Get a load of the judge who presided over this fiasco:

While you’re there, note her ruling in a previous case against Public.Resource.org re the public’s right to free access to read laws and requirements imposed on us by the government.
they don’t think other I.T. aides will be able to get in the door again without first passing background checks.
Well I know I feel better.
How about you?

Agree. imho, there A LOT of dirt being covered up in the DWS/Awan matter. I just don’t understand why. Wonder if DWS has some ‘dirt’ on high level connections. It is disgraceful that she is getting away with this deal.
Nothing ever happens to them. Look at Booker.
Just shows that the DOJ and FBI are no longer a n asset to the USA. They’re totally corrupt.
A perfect example of Washington insiders of both parties, elected and bureaucratic, closing ranks and protecting their “systems” from the prying eyes of the American public.
This is an illustration of how our “public servants” think they are actually our masters. They are corrupt, and there is no one there who is looking out for our interests. They answer to no one.

As background, Imran was first employed in 2004 by former Democrat Rep. Robert Wexler (FL) as an information technology director, before he began working in Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultzs office in 2005.
The family was paid extremely well, with Imran Awan being paid nearly $2 million working as an IT support staffer for House Democrats since 2004. Abid Awan and his wife, Hina Alvi, were each paid more than $1 million working for House Democrats. In total, since 2003, the family has collected nearly $5 million.
In total, Imran's firm was employed by 31 Democrats in Congress, some of whom held extremely sensitive positions on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the House Committee on Foreign Affairs.

Of course, one of the most intriguing parts of the Awan narrative is precisely why former DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (DWS) decided to keep him on her taxpayer-funded payroll right up until his arrest and whether that decision had anything to do with the whole DNC / Hillary email scandals that erupted last summer.
A preliminary hearing for Awan is scheduled for August 21.
