My 94 YO FIL works 5 -1/2 days a week (owns his own business where he makes hand-made furniture).
I feel like such a wimp for wanting to retire in a handful of years at 64.
Not that that feeling will stop me, mind you...
This guy is amazing.
Note: I want to do teaching which I have always loved after a little “”me time” to do the things I never did at college age.
I shall not go fallow.

Long article to get to what he does for work. He sits at a desk and does paperwork for anyone else who might be curious.
Some people are tied to their work as their identity. Some people love what they do so it really isn’t work to them. It’s more like a favorite pastime for the rest of us.
I envy this old guy for getting to work that long.
If you’re not independently wealthy, retirement sucks.
I’m only 73, but now disabled, and I just hate, hate, hate, the fact that I can no longer get around just to do simple household chores, much less hold a job.
The extent of my activity is going to dialysis three times a week.
So, good for the old guy, sounds like he’s let a full and fruitful life.
