President Donald Trump ridiculed Sen. Elizabeth Warren on Tuesday for her “bogus” attempt to prove her claimed American Indian heritage.
“She took a bogus DNA test and it showed that she may be 1/1024, far less than the average American,” Trump wrote on Twitter, derisively calling the Massachusetts Senator “Pocahontas.”
The president pointed to the Cherokee Nation’s statement calling Warren’s DNA test “inappropriate” and a “mockery.”
“Even they don’t want her,” Trump wrote. “Phony!”
Trump also praised the Cherokee Nation for calling Warren out.
“Thank you to the Cherokee Nation for revealing that Elizabeth Warren, sometimes referred to as Pocahontas, is a complete and total Fraud!” he wrote.
The president demanded Warren apologize to the American people lying about her heritage.
“Now that her claims of being of Indian heritage have turned out to be a scam and a lie, Elizabeth Warren should apologize for perpetrating this fraud against the American Public,” Trump wrote.
He recalled Warren being described as Harvard Law’s “first woman of color” in the 90’s, calling it an “amazing con.”

But Cherokee genealogist Twila Barnes says that account has its own credibility issues.
Ms. Barnes, who said her research into Ms. Warren’s family found “no evidence” of Native American ancestry, has challenged key elements of the senator’s tale of how her parents, Pauline Reed and Donald Herring, defied his parents by running off to marry.
“The problem with Warren’s story is that none of the evidence supports it,” said Ms. Barnes in a 2016 post on her Thoughts from Polly’s Granddaughter blog. “Her genealogy shows no indication of Cherokee ancestry. Her parents’ wedding doesn’t resemble an elopement. And additional evidence doesn’t show any indication of her Herring grandparents being Indian haters.” ….
“If Ms. Warren’s parents eloped due to her mother being ‘Cherokee and Delaware’ and it was such a disgrace, why did they rush back to Wetumka the same day they were married and proudly announce it to everyone?” asked Ms. Barnes. “If there was shame associated with the marriage and it caused so many problems, why was it happily announced in the local paper?”
Given that Ms. Warren’s father had just turned 21, the age after which he could legally marry in Oklahoma without his parents’ permission, “Maybe his parents feared if he got married, he would drop out of college. And according to the evidence, that is exactly what happened,” she said.
Cornell Law School professor William A. Jacobson vouched for the credibility of Ms. Barnes‘ fact-finding.
“I have never seen anything that called into question the integrity of Twila Barnes‘ research,” said Mr. Jacobson, who runs the Legal Insurrection blog. “To the contrary, she has meticulously researched Warren’s family lineage demonstrating no Native American ancestry, as well as facts rebutting Warren’s family lore stories.”

Besides the incredible amusement this has provided, it does highlight the hypocrisy of identity politics. Rachel Dolezal changed her identity and obtained jobs and income that she would not have gotten on merit. Elizabeth Warren, a champion of the left, did the same at Harvard and arguably turned her “family lore” into a Senate seat and wealth. Our last President likely applied for and was accepted to schools as a young man by claiming he was a foreign student when it served his interests.
The MSM and left ran Trent Lott out of the Senate for a kind word about Strom Thurmond, yet the left celebrated Richard Byrd. The President is inarticulate about Charlotte, yet Biden talks about Obama in the strangest of terms and people shrug.
It is not only confined to identity. Richard Blumenthal used his false tales of combat in Vietnam to bolster his political fortune. HRC claims to be a champion of women and the #metoo movement, yet her history of vicious attacks, slander, and obstruction of women who alleged misconduct by her husband are legendary.
Ben Shapiro nailed it yesterday....... 1/64th to 1/1024th in DNA is proof of something in the case of Warren, yet two XX chromosomes on 100% of a persons DNA is proof of nothing.

Thanks for the correction! I was on a RealClearPolitics page that listed Beth Lindstrom vs Elizabeth Warren. My error as I apparently didn’t look close enough to the date or something.
He’s trailing by about 25% in the polls. That’s a big deficit. Wonder if enough pile on and time to turn that around? Maybe a couple visits by Trump?
Could be from the Mongol invasions or even earlier. Most Europeans with some genetic contribution from Eastern Europe will have some small amount of Asian DNA.
Such a minuscule amount of Asian (native American) DNA in Elizabeth Warren's profile is much more likely to be from Europe than the Americas.
