Study Claims Beer Will Be Global Warming’s Next Victim, But There’s A Problem
Daily Caller News Foundation ^ | October 15, 2018 | Michael Bastasch

“Although not the most concerning impact of future climate change, climate-related weather extremes may threaten the availability and economic accessibility of beer,” the study’s authors wrote.

Barley is the main ingredient in beer, and projected increases in “extreme drought and heat” could hurt barley production. Many media outlets ran with the study’s alarming findings.

Tell me this is a hoax. Without beer, why get out of bed in the morning? What is the meaning of life? These were questions we answered in Philosophy 101 and the answer always came back to beer.

Better drink up now, just in case there’s a shortage later. Then, when this turns out to be merely a scare tactic, you can drink up to celebrate the non-shortage.

First they tried to blame cow farts for global warming, but now they are turning their attention to beer drinkers.   (See this scientific article about the cow problem ==> "Cow farts are an even bigger problem than we thought".)

So adding co2 to the air will lessen crop yields? Afraid the actual Empirical facts show this to be entirely backwards. But who needs Empirical evidence based science when youve got a comouter you can program to say what the people giving the grant money want you to say. Might mean you are a fraud rather than a scientist, but hey you get published and funded.

Somebody is “studying” their own poop!

CO2 is the molecule of life.

The more you have, the more life the Earth will support.

Ten years ago they said snow would end in ten years, that children would grow up not knowing snow. They were 100.0000000% wrong about that.

Now they’re saying there will be no more beer.

Anyone who listens to this crap really needs a brain-cell implant. Just so they can have at least one.

No, no, no......

The problem is not with barley.

The problem is with carbon dioxide emissions while brewing and while being consumed. Fermentation is totally about the production and release of carbondioxide into the atmosphere. Drinking beer (and Coca Cola) is all about the releqse of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

All alcoholic beveraages are fermented and the production of carbon dioxide is part and parcel of the process.

... and projected increases in “extreme drought and heat” could hurt barley production.

Or, warmer temperatures open 100's of miles of productive land on the northern extremes of the plains. Increasing grain production causing prices to fall, beer production to soar and demand to swell.
