Mine came over in the earl 1920s and they had to be self supportive and be examined to be healthy. Others here bfore them had to show they had a place to stay and they had to have some money, and have a job lined up.
If they believe it’s morally right then I’m sure they will step forward andpickup the tab.

What morally wrong is being a bunch of billionaires and doing nothing to improve their situation so they don’t have to leave home. Instead bring them here where they are leaches to the taxpayers.
You state that we need to help them grow their own economies and help them to help themselves.
We’ve tried that approach with other competing nations who now walk all over us, stealing our intellectual properties, and not contributing a dollar to world organizations which we are almost fully supporting alone. How about we let them make it on their own, just as we did. If they’re intelligent enough, they’ll figure it out. And if not smart enough and don’t have enough gumption to fend for themselves, they’re not worth wasting our time with.
