President Donald Trump gave unusually strong praise for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell for his role in Judge Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation to the Supreme Court at a rally in Richmond, Kentucky, Saturday evening.
"There's nobody tougher, there's nobody smarter," Trump said of McConnell to a cheering crowd of some 6,000 supporters in the senator's home state. "He stared down the angry left-wing mob."
McConnell briefly took the stage and praised Trump for his judicial nominations, asking him to keep it up.
Trump said that Democrats "demonized" Kavanaugh before knowing anything about him.
"What happened to him was so unfair, I've never seen anything like it," Trump said. "And we stuck with him all the way because we knew the facts."
Trump went on to compliment McConnell further.
"He goes down as the greatest leader, in my opinion, in history," the president said.
"Hes better when Im president than he ever was when anybody else was president," he added, smiling.

Notice that Trump refers to the left wing mob. He is branding the left as the mob. He is smart.
It is soooooo nice to have a real, fighting President....been a very long time.
How McConnell finally came around on Trump: ‘I look at the results’

Excerpt from link:
Just two years ago, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell was looking for a way to defeat Donald Trump in the Republican presidential primary, and told colleagues they would drop him like a hot rock if the flamboyant real estate mogul won the nomination.
Two years later, McConnell is impressed with Trump’s results, which include ushering in the most important Republican initiatives in a generation, and shifting the Supreme Court in a conservative direction for the first time in decades.
This Congress has been the best two years of my time here, McConnell told the Washington Examiner in a Capitol interview before the Senate left town to campaign ahead of the Nov. 6 election.
McConnells steered clear of discussing Trumps presidential style when asked to explain how his view of Trump has evolved since rejecting his early candidacy in 2016. But he said he’s measuring Trump by what he accomplishes.
I look at the results, he said.
Rand, too.
“Some of you may remember that once upon a time he was not my first choice for president — but I will tell you, he grows on you, Paul said to the crowd before Trump arrived. “I will also tell you that every day, virtually every day, he exceeds my expectations.”
For his part, Trump praised Paul as “a senator of great common sense.”
That's pouring it on a little thick, but, hey, I should be as magnanimous.
If Rand or Mitch held a rally about 300 people would show up. Even they can’t believe Trump draws a crowd of 30,000 and he is not even on the ballot.
Notice that Trump refers to the left wing mob. He is branding the left as the mob. He is smart.

Mobs by itself doesnt work. But Jobs Not Mobs is brain glue plus framing and contrast. Science says the brain interprets rhymes as persuasive.
Giving Mitch his just due for his work on the courts and buttering him up at the same time - it’s what effective leaders do to energize their folks...
McConnell has discovered that he really likes joining a winning team
Anyway, McConnell still needs to prove himself on the full funding of the wall and on cutting spending.
“Notice that Trump refers to the ‘left wing mob’.”
I noticed that he’s been throwing out that word for the last week and had to laugh. He’s out-Alinsky-ing the Rats and they don’t know what to do. We’re not supposed to use THEIR tactics on THEM.
“McConnell has discovered that he really likes joining a winning team.”
And Mitch was positively glowing on stage, being the subject of such applause and love for his work on SCOTUS, especially Kavanaugh.
The Art of the Deal. Appointing Elaine Chao as secretary of transportation was a sure fire way to get McConnell onboard the Trump train.
Jobs not mobs is lethal. Every Republican candidate has to say that in every speech, every interview and every press release. The contract sticks and people understand and will vote for Jobs over the mob. Just brand them as the mob. Never use the word democrat again just The Mob.
I lived in the Henderson, KY area for a while, years ago. They would vote Democrat for state elections and Republican for national elections.
The little bit Mitch said, said quite a lot—he basically got up there and said we are changing the courts forever. For whatever reason, Mitch is on a mission to remake the courts. (and I’m 100% with him on it)
I’m hoping he’ll confirm the 30-40 pending judges during the lame duck session.
Excellent idea.
The dark, unhinged, radical mob!
Demobcrats.
