The Senate confirmed 15 of President Trumps judicial picks Thursday night after GOP leaders reached a deal with Democrats, clearing about a third of the backlog and closing up shop through Election Day to give senators a chance to campaign.
Three of the judges are for the powerful circuit courts of appeals, while the other 12 were for district court positions.

Having reasonable judges who follow the Constitution, not politics is critical.
SINCE THE GOP controls the Senate Judiciary committee, why make a deal in the FIRST place?
Because the dems would force 30 full hours of debate on each one.
It’s part of the game...
Both sides want to campaign these next 3 weeks.
:(
This is why we need more Trump Senators!
Yes, if indeed that is what we got. Picking judges is always a crap shoot to be honest.
There are judges in place to help clear the 50,000 indictments. (Hopefully opening soon)
Why do repubs need to make any deals?
WTF WAS THE DEAL?
Because the Dimms would hold up the vote thru 30 hrs of hearing. They got five quickly approved, so they can now go and campaign...
Im against this 60 vote threshold. The Senate used to be made up of men and women who would vote for whats best for the country. Not any more. So, a monrity can block things.
McConnell wants to preserve the difference and make it a supreme body. I say lets get 60 in the Senate and we can do that....
These guys sure get a lot of time off.
“Those” guys are the rare breed who can give themselves any raise they desire, and they have the best retirement plans on planet, and they get more time off than all other working stiffs (including teachers who are next in line), and they become multi-millionaires in politics!
Only deal I saw in the story was agreeing to vote on these now and wait on the rest of the 49 pending.
More like the whipped and demoralized dems got struck with a deal...at least they get a longer vacation out of it....
And I’m sick of these deals with the Demonrats. They must be defeated like the enemy they are, not treated like coworkers to make a deal with.
What do THEY have that we want?
Perhaps it's time to nuke the 30 hour rule.
Instead, have each candidate be available in a room for a week. Senators who want to visit and chat may do so. The Senators may log their comments into the Congressional record.
At the end of the week, voting happens for each candidate in rapid succession.
Deal? What did we give up?
Democrats chose to punt so they could get out of town to go campaign.
This is NOT sitting well at all with their radical base.
The backbiting and recriminations should be fun to watch.
