Right. “Hey TheNext, we want to sell your land to a developer and put in a road. Here’s some money. Oh you don’t own that property anymore so sorry you can no longer vote.” And the poll tax issue is settled by the Supreme Court. Pay to vote? Nonsense.
I get you’re point but that’s a little pedantic. “Gun Violence” just means violence committed with a gun. True enough we don’t say “knife violence” or “fist violence”.

Correct. And the right pre-exists the government, it pre-exists the Constitution. It is a civil right, an inalienable human right. Self defense is the most important of all the human rights, to those without a life all the rights don’t matter. Thus the right to protect and preserve life in paramount.
The 2A reads that the right we possess “shall not be infringed”. This is clear as day - it means the right is ours by fact of being alive and that the government has no right to take it away or impinge upon it. Very simple. But people with ulterior, selfish and evil motives like to talk around the issue in the attempt to weaken it. They are FOS. It is our right as a free people and the Constitution is a limit on what the government can do. It is not an enumeration of what we may be allowed to do by our government.

Okay, I am curious why several people are dismissive and even defend Chicago gun restrictions when result in no gun dealers in the city, few legal gun owners, and a defenseless population. San Francisco and other cities are reaching the same result. This is the 2nd amendment we are talking about. If not stand up for rights of Chicago’s citizens, and us if we venture there, what right do we have to expect them to help us when they come to our city to shut down gun dealers and remove our ability to buy guns? Why should anyone have to drive hours to buy a gun? And what about states that have waiting period and other requirements added to that challenge?
Note that the liberals just call Kanye racist names rather than addressing the points he made.
