Thanks, we have place to stay for two weeks, started insurance claim, got living expenses advance . . . still getting first-hand accounts of looting . . . civilization is so fragile. Two home fires in Port St Joe burned to the ground. People casually dismiss John Locke’s description of the state of nature, but in areas outside of law enforcement it is on display.
I saw a couple of photos of local fires. Any idea whether they were due to natural gas lines leaking or propane tanks? I've been hesitant to get gas here on the coast for that very reason. Even propane tanks can turn into floating bombs in a storm.
Oh my heart goes out to you. This puts your life in an entirely different light and rearranges priorities very quickly. I often think about the thin strand of civilization and understand what you mean.
My prayers for your stamina, courage, comfort and humor as you walk through this.
I don’t know how you’re gonna get back out there
unless the national guard has a bailey bridge or something.
Prayers. Sorry you’re going through this.
